All ZC had to do prior to WCQ was this. To organize some List As before the WCQs. No matter what the quality, some runs under the belt for the likes of Hammy and Ervine would have given them confidence after the torrid lack of form they were going through.

Magarira and Kamunhukamwe more proof that the RS was a huge success. Sadly now looks to have been discarded by ZC..

Zhuwao & Mire too much over rated cricketers...both of them are massively inconsistent

They didn’t just suddenly become internationals in the making because they went and played some club cricket in the UK. The oft used phrase is “unearthed a new talent,” it’s not how it works. After years of little or no cricket at a low level you don’t suddenly get your chance and become Jason Roy overnight. He’s having a good run against mediocre opposition, throw him in the deep end and he will sink to the bottom without a trace. We’ve done this all before and for the 15th year in a row they will find it doesn’t work. It’s vexing and perplexing to them that you have to invest more than one tour every few years into the making of a batsman, you need to practice most days at a high level in order to be successful on the big stage. Anyway let’s hear the calls for him to urgently be selected. We’ve got nobody in waiting thst has the remotest chance of sucess, end of story.

Here’s the story ZC are desperate to publish-
Deep in the heart of Mazarabani there lived a young goat herder, who by a strange and bizarre twist of fate was called Sachin Viv Ndlovu. His birth name was actually Satchel Vivacious Ndlovu, but when his father had gone to register his birth many years later, his spelling skills were found wanting as Zanu had not invested much in the way of education in this region and by a Godly intervention he had misspelt Satchel, then by another twist of fate the ballpoint had run out of ink and Vivacious had been shortened to Viv.
This young lad spent his days hitting Muzhanje fruit with a stick and had huge natural aptitude, it was at the expense of his herding skills and after losing his 9th goat, his dad in exasperation, sent him to live with his uncle in Muzarabani Business Centre where he sold Buddy cards.
Here, on a rubbish heap he found a pile of strange white things (they were actually cricket pads left over from the glory day of the opening of the multi hundred dollar Muzarabani Cricket Academy. His uncle had seen how they were affixed to the legs and helped Sach strap them on. By an act of God Heath Streak happened to be driving through at this exact moment with police in his car following a lead to recover his stolen mombes. He pulled over and negotiated with the uncle for Sach to immediately accompany him back to Bulawayo. On a hunch he called his old friend Mpofu and arranged for him to meet him at the nets. They kitted Sach out and within minutes he was facing 140kph rockets from Chris (he was having a good day!), he was pulling and cutting like his namesakes and a star was born. A ZTV news crew were paid $100 000 (with a $99700 kickback to Makoni) to make all haste to Muzarabani and film the success story of grass roots cricket at the burgeoning academy ($50 was spent on bush clearing prior to their arrival)

With the forced early retirement of Masakdaza, Irvine, Raza, Williams, Moor, Mire and Jarvis following their deliberate sabotaging of ZC’s noble efforts to qualify for the World Cup they were left with no choice but to field a team of 9 against the Mighty Australians. On a hunch and following calls from the knowledgeable Zimbabwe cricketing public they decided to open with Magarira and Ndlovu. What followed was history, a world record 200 opening stand between Magarira and Ndlovu has put Zimbabwe cricket firmly back on the world map and vindicated ZC’s noble, costly and visionary efforts to wrest cricket from the racist colonizers.
Ndlovu’s innings of 127 off 9 deliveries as an 11 year old (he was actually 27, late birth registrations enable Zimbabweans to compete fairly for the first 19 years of school), will surely be a record that stands for generations.
Can I have a job in ZC media?
