Even a drunk Jongwe would be an option.
They should just get the next ICC tranche, split it 30 ways and shut up shop. There’s no way out of this hole these pieces of shit have dug for us.

This is absolutely the smallest thread I have seen on ZCF for a Zimbabwe match. If ZC have lost us imagine how cricket is faring with normal sports fans.

picked out a few things from Tino Mawoyo and Alistair Campbell

surprised that cephas wasnt selected in the XI
that burl was batting down the order
chamu's frailties with spin
jarvis's absence when bowling in the back end of the innings was felt

and the senior players didn't turn up at all

what then for us?

prolly waller in for burl?

cephas in for chamu to provide impetus up the order?

bobby in for jarv?

stick with nyumbu?

we just wait and see what the think tanks come up with
n.b don't invest your feelings with this XI lest you suffer from heartbreaks.

Cephas and Malcolm would be no chance against Pakistan spinners. The sad part was it wasn't even turning that much.

The same thing will probably happen to Australia today. They're just as bad.

chamu's frailties with spin+ let's retire Chibhabha
Unless his bowling is so important then drop him to 7th in the squad

jarvis's absence when bowling in the back end of the innings was felt - Mpofy or Chatara as replacements
prolly waller in for burl? - Waller I'd T20 specialist

cephas in for chamu to provide impetus up the order? - Zhuwao should be in the squad

bobby in for jarv?

stick with nyumbu?

we just wait and see what the think tanks come up with
n.b don't invest your feelings with this XI lest you suffer from heartbreaks.

Zhuwao
Mire
Hamilton
PJ Moor wk
Chigumbura
Waller
Mavuta// or Murray
Magarira
Mpofy
Chisoro
Chatara

the Bangladesh forum has also died. A large part of that is old time senior posters all ended up getting married and having kids/families. eats up valuable time. But I know them all on FB and they are all still following cricket just as avidly as their grad school days...just not posting about it. I've managed to drag a couple of them onto my Bangladesh group page on facebook. I myself have virtually retired from the BD forum...heck after well over 20,000 posts there, I post at ZCF more than I do there.

Pakpassion and Indian Cricket Fans seem to be doing very well though. they actually have turnover to replace anyone they've lost.

What has always bothered me with Zimbabwe is that we never seem to get our selections right under any regime. The one constant is misguided selections. What the hell have these been selectors been thinking over the years? There are always at least 2 nonsensical selections every match, sometimes more.

Australia won’t struggle like that. They pick a side from dozens of excellent cricketers that play a lot of cricket. We have half a dozen guys that can play at this level, a few more that potentially could if they played enough games and the rest simply will never be good enough.
We’re not fooling anybody anymore, we don’t have 11 cricketers in the whole country that can play international cricket.
I didn’t watch the game but did Solly decide to anchor after losing his partner or was he just tied in knots by what was obviously a good bowling attack?
Not picking CZ sums up these twats. Let him unleash or perish up front.
Musakanda obviously has potential.
That Muyeye lad is a seriously talented T20 player, when we’re not spoilt for choice you need to persevere with people you know have an outside chance of stepping up. They should have flown him out at least to see what he’s got against senior bowlers in the nets. Once again someone should answer why he was not picked in the U19.
If we don’t have a spinner that can hold up an end then at least pick one that can bat. Give Roche a shot. Give Murray a chance.

If there are no more scheduled tests for a year after this series this is probably it, the end of the road. You can’t come back from that.
When you’re dead you don’t know you’re dead, it’s just difficult for those around you, it’s the same when you’re stupid.

I was at work but it doesn't look like I missed much.

Even with our front liners Cremer for Nyumbu might have saved a few runs and Taylor and Raza might have made a few more than the replacements.

But a 50 run loss instead of this isn't worth much.

At least we didn't do what Ireland did against India.
