Jeez and I commented on it at length. I must up my Omega 3’s.
It’s hard to fathom how they are in charge. It was a coup of note. They’re in charge of millions of dollars for a sport that holds zero interest for them.
It’s like you and I being in charge of a grant from the Royal London Penguin Society to study the mating habits of Galápagos penguins. Look I’d like to think we wouldn’t buy ourselves a luxury yacht with $2000 hookers to go and visit the little critters, but the analogy is there.
Mangongo has definitely had enough of these guys sounds like he had a word with Googly too about the youngsters talking about how it takes almost a decade to nurture an international cricketer and how you cant just that dump them on the international scene and expect them to perform. Hate him or love him one thing you cant take away from him is his love for the game.
I actually think we need 4 separate programmes if we are to ever get anywhere. If we get AC's academy to focus on 14-16 year olds. Mangongo to have a full time programme for 17-19 year olds. The rising stars for that transition from junior cricket to first class cricket. Finally a full time A team programme as well which doesnt feature players with more than 10 caps. That way we would have monitored guys for a good 10 years before they make the jump into the deep end
Steve is the guy who knows the inner workings of this mob, he’s the man to open the can of spitting puff mambas!
Hand him the immunity idol and their house will come tumbling down.

I hope in the next few days we will have a result of some sort.
1)full change
2)half change
3)no change
