Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
Re: Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
Rape ensues at 28/5. Why can’t we ever seem to do anything at this tournament? It’s so pathetic.

48 all out.. this is quite an embarrassment.. the future is really bleak if we keep on producing these shitty results
Re: Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
Here’s an unpalatable truth-
We don’t have the talent!!
People keep saying that we do and that with the right administration all the players will miraculously improve.
I agree that with more games, better coaching and more exposure to the outside world that our results will improve, but it’s not going to get us winning games.
The reality is that we’re dead in the water.
At best we can assemble 7 or 8 guys that can compete internationally, but then the gap to our FC guys is a yawning chasm.
You can’t make an u19 squad in three weeks
You can’t make an age group side with 4 net practices before they go and play in SA.
Once again it’s a top down fix.
Get the best guys we can in the national side, pay them and stick with them.
Get the top schools (all 8 of them) playing proper cricket, minimum of 25-30 games a year and not against teams that can’t pick up a bat. They need proper coaches and facilities, not the student geography teacher as a fill in.
Get the top kids practicing with each other at least once a week right now all year round. They have to go to guys like Brent, Brown, Higgins who know what they’re doing.
If they do this now we will see results in 5 years time, there’s NO quick fix. It’s a long term investment.
Encourage the best to go to SA and England, even on ZC scholarships, we will never match what they’ve got, just cross fingers that some will come back.
Incentivize grass roots coaches to find the best kids they can and get them into the top schools or into an age group academy. If a development coach can’t produce 3 promising kids in a year he’s not a development coach and employment should be terminated. I haven’t seen a single sharp kid from kamusha in 5 years, it’s a disgrace.
There’s a lot of talk and apportioning blame, but at some point someone has to do some work.

Googly I thought you said Murray wouldn’t be available?
Re: Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
No I said he might be available for the SA leg as he’s at Uni there but not the Bangladesh tour.

already 19/2.. k-long and richy back in the hut for ducks!!!
Re: Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
Musakanda doing a decent job
Re: Africa T20 Cup Season 2018
Another victory. At least they are getting better. I hope to see others perform with the bat. Murray and Musakanda are some of our top prospects and they are already in our national setup so there is nothing to get excited about there. This is what we expect. Magarira doing well is the kind of excitement im talking about.
