Some insights into Muzarabani Kolpak deal
Re: Some insights into Muzarabani Kolpak deal
Would be very sorry to see you go Nick. I have enjoyed your insights and appreciate the help you tried to give cricket in Zimbabwe.

When exactly did you get so verbal about Kolpak, wasn't it after Blessing signed one?ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 11:52 am‘It’s ok for black kids to be a slave to the system’ Do I need to dig up the very recent statements I made literally slamming Blessing.....FOR NOT STANDING UP for his black brethren and letting the white guys do all the protesting, or the thousands of other posts where I indeed have had a go at the black cricketers for being enslaved to ZC. I’ve been one of the more critical and vocal about the blacks in the system accepting the slosh ZC dig up about them. It’s embarrassing. Moreover, I’ve been possibly THE most scathing of the Kolpak system in general. I can’t think of another poster on this forum who has attacked Kolpak like I have. You yourself even asked me in the last post I made on the topic why it was so bad. Fuck me dead.
I'm not hhm, I'm not keeping files on what someone posted when in this forum, but I don't seem to recall so much hate from you when BT and Jarvis went that route.
And yes, I know that you despise all black African cricketers in Zim for not toppling the board, something none of their contemporaries, regardless of colour, have ever tried. He didn't hold up his hand in yet another pay dispute, oh my ..., give me a break. I've explained before why the notion that "the players" could oust the board, install the right people and set ZC on the path to redemption is nothing but a pipe dream -- and that you now constantly blame a kid of 21 (with probably a very modest education behind him, I don't know) for ruining that pipe dream, is not only laughable but indicates the person you like to come across as in this forum.
And I don't recall that you talk about young white cricketers seeking a better future in the UK in quite the same terms. He's not a desperate illegal immigrant paddling across the Mediterranean or threatening to wade on-shore at Bondi Beach. He got offered a job opportunity and he took it. Get over it.

I feel the same and therefore haven't been posting much these last few months, and I already regret to have joined a conversation which is as pointless as dreaming about Zim getting anything but an almighty thrashing in SA.Jemisi wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 1:11 pmFor my part, I feel tired. Not down about Zim so much as just tired. Not giving up but not seeing much on the horizon. I think BRMT asked in a thread what actual rock bottom looks like. I don't think anyone knows. Zim has been heading for catastrophe for ever and yet there always seems to be some undulation between small rebounds and predictable collapses. We'll likely see more of that pattern.
Yep. Love and peace to everyone, especially the Dogg (who I know likes nothing better than when someone picks up a fight with him ). I'll be off now.And go a bit easy on each other guys, you're all key to this place being worthwhile. Cheers.

Ya Nick, don’t go, bud. Take beer, calm down and return.
Gents he’s one of the guys that actually does shit on the ground whereas we’re keyboard warriors and that’s respect in my book.
I was wrong about some aspects of RS. I can’t remember which parts as it was a while ago.
If an initiative like that finds just one guy it’s been hugely worthwhile. It’s given him opportunity to leave as well and that’s also a good thing. Our cricket will never succeed whilst the grass is greener elsewhere. It’s a fine yardstick. He’ll be back.

This whole witch hunt of Blessing and the rising stars is the biggest load of shit I’ve ever heard. And again the name calling and KFC references is disgraceful.
The only reason this is a big deal is because Blessing is black and because he got a Kolpak deal, Zimdoggy doesn’t seem to care about all the white kids like Byron, Welch, Hooper etc that have left Zimbabwe to live in England, maybe we should ban school cricket too so the club scouts can’t find them?
Fact is plenty of white and black kids leave Zimbabwe for England the ZRS project wasn’t to blame, the only thing it did was give these kids experience and time playing in another country.

FFS you three. You made me have to postpone firing this dude at work and look in my own archives.
Just to prove the sh*t thats being spouted, Ive been critical of Kolpaks since I Joined the forum back in 2011.

^Foresight like this is why people say I'm the genius I am.
The fact of the matter is alot of the time its in the young players interests to try and escape to greener pastures. Funny how y'all arguing my point with the same point. So I assume we can agree on this right?
Hence why its dumb dumb dumb for ZC, to send the kids to live for 15 or so weeks with an ex zimbabwean, to give them every opportunity for a genuine talent to flee. Tactical error for ZCs interests.
Nek minnit:
A (semi) genuine talent fled.
Literally it seems like the kid was pimping around himself the whole time to English clubs. His prerogative, but ZC let it happen so easily.

Im hardly the only one thats been critical about blacks not protesting the board.foreignfield wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 7:26 pmAnd yes, I know that you despise all black African cricketers in Zim for not toppling the board, something none of their contemporaries, regardless of colour, have ever tried. Who have we had thats stood up?
Jonty? Official, isnt a player
Taibu?
Only 7 years after not protesting for so long when he could have made a proper impact.
Olonga- was protesting government, still noble.
White/Brown protestors:
BT
CREMER
RAZA
C ERVINE
WALLER
BURL
WILLIAMS
METH
COVENTRY
CARLISLE
WISHART
FERREIRA
BRENT
STREAK
FLOWER
S ERVINE
PRICE
GRIPPER
BLIGNAUT
FRIEND
ROGERS
SIMS
Blessing could have recently stood up.
Blessing would have had an impact and shown it wasnt white guys getting racial
Blessing could have stood in solitaridy with his mentor Streak.
Blessing had a job lined up.
Blessing however didnt seem to care.
