What would be the downside of ICC dictating that an ICC appointed foreign board be allocated to stop corruption and deep rooted politics?

It seems to me the obvious way, get cleanskins in there with no affiliation.

What we need in there is a Jew.

You think a Jew will put up with wasteful allocation of funds? Unlikely. They are ruthless and shrewd with this.

What’s more, more than likely that person will have sponsorship and media connections, which can only help ZC’s cause.

This would not have happened before. More problems for ZC. They haven’t paid what is basically a minuscule rental for a magnificent facility since 2016, then they had the audacity to claim that that the Tobacco Industries Board stand’s rental should come to them. That would basically mean getting the 2k a month rental from TIB and handing it over to Harare Sports Club and claim that they’ve paid their rent! They see nothing wrong with that. The sale of a ZC VX 200 series should squash this but you might find the cars have been sold to the senior management at book value

There’s a zesa creditors’ list showing that our top politicians/military/police people have basically never paid an electricity bill in their lives. They owe hundreds of thousands each. They are mostly all multi-millionaires but won’t pay a cent towards anything they don’t have to.
What is really bizarre is that with our electricity turned off Zesa no longer has a revenue stream, most of us (and I use that term loosely) pre-pay for our electricity so they’ve basically been receiving the money and just taking it. Some would say diverting it to more pressing issues, but at the end of the day it’s just gross mismanagement. Prior to the pre-paid meters, and there’s not enough data bundle on my phone to get into the scams around those, entire communities just never paid one cent and only the tax paying portion contributed anything and the government couldn’t very well just switch off 95% of the zesa. They then realized that this was not sustainable so they switched over to pre-paid, started generating revenues and someone immediately started diverting the funds. It’s the same with the rates, only a tiny portion of the people pay yet receive no service. There’s no refuse collection to speak of, our Neighbourhood has not had municipal water for nearly 20 years (not that you can drink it without increasing your chances of getting cancer tenfold due to the astonishing levels of heavy metals). We are in absolute meltdown and yet there are almost daily press statements that we’ve turned the corner. They’ve just outlawed the trading of maize with serious consequences for people who don’t sell to the centralized Grain Marketing Board. They will offer a pittance, delay payment and a portion of that maize will miraculously disappear. There’s no wheat, therefore no bread. The few wheat farmers begged for electricity so they could irrigate but it was mostly denied, so there’s no wheat next year either.

Ya Jimmy I was thinking about that. Those lawyers would have insisted on some up front cash because they know they’re clients are in thin ice, so effectively ZC have probably kept a fund for their case, if they lose will the new board be liable for any outstanding legal fees, especially if SRC can prove there’s been fraud/theft?
I still see catch and release looming. This whole anti corruption drive is a joke. They’re targeting G40 and expendable middle tier guys to show they’re doing something about this rottenness that pervades our society, but the real scoundrels escape. Gerry, Mukhu and Ozzy were big friends in the Telecel shenanigans yet now they’re enemies?

yes ZC would still be liable for costs.
Unless of course the lawyers are Wilson Manase then all part and parcel of the shennanigans.
The telecel issue was a mess and im not sure whether they were acting together or against each other.
There will of course be catch and release here because some are singing like canaries and others have already sung hence all the information on the cabal of morons.
Let's wait and see, email the ICC. Petition your own Chairmen if they were on the ZC board and hold them to account for defying an SRC order without getting local board resolution to do so.
This is the time to pull all fielders in to add pressure.
