Really good start from Zimbabwe.
Bit worried because it feels to me The Symbol gets to 40s a lot of the time and gets out. Can’t help either that he’s having a break just at his bogey number and he will have to re concentrate. 40s to him is like 52-65 for Sean.

I had forgotten about the ISIS recruitment adsforeignfield wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:59 amI'm actually quite satisfied with the Youtube stream, better than having to deal with dodgy not-quite-legal subcontinental streams, teeming with malware and ads for the armed forces of Afgahnistan.
Yeah, it's a bit sad isn't it. 2000 online + a few hundred at the ground; that's it. I wonder if it's on actual TV anywhere?foreignfield wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:07 amThere are about 2,000 people watching the stream--on a Saturday--which gives one an idea about the commercial potential of this Test series.
Great start to get to lunch without losing a wicket.

But surely half of Sri Lanka should be tuned in?
What am I missing?

I'm sure AC has his hands in the tv rights cookie jar. He knows how to make a quick buck
Not a bad start. I'm happy so far. I am also happy that its guys doing well in the Logan cup who are doing ok as it puts some kind of value in the domestic game. I hope Nyauchi does the same. Prince is in good form and it shows. If there is 1 thing I hope they change this decade is that going on holiday or attending weddings or playing in some foreign land skipping domestic cricket and expecting a place should be a thing of the past. These guys do it regularly. This is exsctly how Kasuza has more FC experience than Raza. Give them a go.
There are no demons out there at all. There is no rush. I think we should get at least another 30 overs in unless we get a waterlogged field. Im enjoying this so far

The stream is managed by Total Sports Marketing (TSM) which is a Bangladeshi company. They have the broadcasting rights for matches from 2015-2023.

That’s a two way street, Taps. If they want buy-in to the Makoni Cup then they need to organize a full schedule that starts on time and the guys get a stipend that they can scratch a living from, it’s not too much to ask. They just do what they like when they like and expect loyalty and allegiance and when that doesn’t happen they play mind games. They’ve destroyed our cricket. One good opening stand here buys them some credibility. It’s all bullshit, people need to wake up and boot these guys.

But someone said Sony’s had just expired? I’m still no closer to understanding the costs and benefits.SpitfiresKent wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:15 amThe stream is managed by Total Sports Marketing (TSM) which is a Bangladeshi company. They have the broadcasting rights for matches from 2015-2023.

The reason there is no one watching is because they didn’t advertise or market it!!!! Literally nobody knew until people started retweeting it just before the toss!!!
There should have been a solid two to three weeks of plugging before the series

The graphics and production quality is a bit like a Sheffield Shield game. It's not bad (and it's nice to watch free on Youtube without ads), but it just feels a little but lacking for an international match.SpitfiresKent wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:15 amThe stream is managed by Total Sports Marketing (TSM) which is a Bangladeshi company.
