there are only 2 scenarios that will probably occur here. a Zim win or a draw. i think Zim wins if we get a full days play, just need to be disciplined, aggressive and creative.

Wesley madhevere bowling really well 3 wickets and keeping it tight. Dare I say a Bangladesh plane ticket awaits him should he bat well in Zimbabwe's innings

I can’t completely fault the selectors for throwing in Mutombodzi before the game.

Think logically.

There were complaints after test one we needed a spinner desperately. That’s point one.

We can use some added batting depth, would have saved test one. That’s point two.

Mukhulani is in the middle of giving Chisoro a childish lesson. That’s point 3. A stupid point, but a fact of the matter no less.

Ryan Burl, leg spinner/all rounder is injured. Not available. That’s point 4.

So who else do you have then?

The chinaman is not experienced and in under 19 camp, he’s out.
Cremer is retired.

So you look around domestically. What do you have?

Nyumbu? Fat, old, ugly and not taking wickets. Likely to be dropped domestically soon.

Hang on, who’s this guy! A leg spinner that is taking wickets, and topped the run table last season and is batting well this season.

You beauty! Let’s give him a shot with all these injuries and lessons being in play.

It’s the smart choice.

That said, he got his shot. He failed. He looks like literal dog shit with the ball.
He won’t be picked again. Ever.
If he does, THEN let’s criticise.

The only play from here Is going back to pace, offer Cremer a Taylor like lucrative multi year deal, or kiss and make up with Chisoro. Who isn’t that great anyway to be frank.

Really lacking a strike bowler here, Chatara or Jarvis or Cremer or Blessing .....

I'd be giving Mumba another shot here, he might just make something happen

Can Eskinazi bowl leggies? He’d be useful.

We surely have to have more than one leggie in Zimbabwe?

2hrs 30 minutes left looks like the Srilankas have settled for draw.

They are just dabbing the bowl around
