Match Thread | Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe 3rd ODI 2020 | Sylhet

Post by Kriterion_BD »

Final match. Mushfiq is being rested because he won't play in the one-off ODI in Karachi. I wonder who will replace him...(???)

Zimbabwe came uber close to winning the last game, but I'd like to believe it was more a case of the Tigers letting their foot off the gas defending 320+ with a 3rd string bowling attack. Obviously, this game will tell the whole story.

Interesting to see what would happen if Bangladesh is to field first for a change this series.

For ZIM the questions are:

- Can Taylor come to the party?
- Can multiple top order batters score in the same innings?
- Can Madhevere continue his bright start to his career so far?

Just a few hours to go, and in the US there seems to be a 1 hour later start for this final match.

Will like to see the one who score in this match and saves himself in the squad for next series :)

After Maruma in Test, Tiripano already booked the spot

It will be very interesting to see what happens if BT fails again this match, with the revolution of the squad starting with the new guys like Wes & Milton emerging, would they consider dropping BT?

He certainly has made enemies in high places, and these guys would love nothing more than to drop BT for someone like Shumba.

Hopefully Chamu is still injured

Was quite impressed by Zimbabwe's fightback in last game. Hoping for a good game.

BT is a class player. BT, Ervine, Williams, and Raza need to shepherd the likes of Wes and other youngsters who might come into the side.

For his part, Wes reminds me a lot of Tari Musakanda. They both tend to play uppishly...I would like to see Wes play more along the carpet. But one thing is he seems to be Zimbabwe's best sweeper and thats essentially because he knows which balls to sweep. Its why he's been so successful against the BD spinners so far.

We have now come to a stage where we have to pray that our designated captain does not recover soon enough so that he can be left out to ensure a stronger XI :?

It’s criminal that Regis & Mutumbami keep picking up ODI caps, I realise they’re the only fit batsman there but still it’s not right.

Maybe PJ should start keeping again ?
