That’s John Traicos but I’m not sure who the other man is?CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:51 am590. While we are at some quickfire exchanges today, here's one more for the day from my end. Who is the other Zimbabwean to fill that question mark in this elite company?
May be foreignfield answers it and we have a 3-way tie at the top...

Yeah, you need to find that connection and the special group they belong to. What I need as answer is the other personjaybro wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:54 amThat’s John Traicos but I’m not sure who the other man is?CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:51 am590. Brighton Watambwa put on a bit of weight.
Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
The special things about John Traicos are
He was born Egypt
He was of Greek decent
He played Test Cricket for South Africa
He played Test cricket in his 40’s
I’m not sure what else it could be

Yeah that’s why I thought it might be an obvious choiceCrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:21 amHad never seen his pic before! Looks like a really good action. Would love to follow his fortunes... That guess was because you had already started the Macheka Mania sometime back, so thought you might have found his pic too
He doesn’t look that tall and like most other Zimbabwe seamers he looks very lean

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
I had not considered this as the reason for grouping, but you are right in a way, because only these two fall into that bucket of 40+ test cricketers from Zimbabwe. So, I'll give you a point for that for unearthing another perfectly logical two-people grouping.
My grouping was with a different reasoning, again with former Zimbabwe internationals. I'll wait for that to be attempted as well by you, or by others.

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Not a former Zim international and thus not what you are looking for, but it has occured to me that if I'm not mistaken (as I might well be) Traicos and Brendan Taylor are the only Zimbabwe players whose Test careers extend over three decades (?): BT is, I believe, the only player who debuted (in Tests) in the 2000s and is still going strong in the 2020s. None of the Test players who debuted in the 90s managed to extend their careers into the 2010s, while Traicos' career covers the 1970s to 1990s (although with a hole in the 1980s--which also leaves a hole in my argument ...).
That's a pretty long-winded and maybe not entirely convincing attempt to sneak up to the duo at the top
