Of his 11 ODI centuries, only one has come in a Zimbabwe victory (2018 against Afghanistan).
I’m sure he got at least one v SL in a winning match

I’m sure most Zimbo ODI hundreds come in losing efforts

Ervine has two winning 1 loss

Williams 1 winning (UAE) 2 loss

Chigumbura 2 loss

Raza 1 win (Afg) 2 loss

Vusi 2 win

Hamilton 3 win ( Kenya x 2) 2 loss

This dispels any idea that Hammy was as good as made out to be.

Yeah, how does that follow zimbos?

I mean people would agree on the basis of other evidence but how do these stats say that?

My wording is probably wrong. What I probably mean is that it dispels the theory that Hammy was a big game player.

He only scored 5 ODI centuries in his career. His first coming in his 71st match against Bangladesh. Of the 5 he scored, only 3 were in match winnings knocks. Considering Hammy opened for the majority of his career, it would be fair to assume that he was not as big a game player as he was made out to be as he only delivered 5 really bigs scores in his whole career, 2 of which came against a declining, if not declined, Kenya.

As an opener, you would expect someone with a reputation as big as his to have a few more tons and be setting a solid batting foundation.

Who’s saying this?
The general chatter on the forum over the years and the aura around his career.
