National Premier League 2020 ( NPL )
Re: National Premier League 2020 ( NPL )
Hmmmm, I think we may find that a couple of players call it a day over the next couple of months.

Although on the bright side. Ben Curran wants to play in the Logan Cup, I think decisions over squads are being made in the next couple of days. No fixtures though.

I assume you’re talking about current national team players, not the old fellas in the boozer league?

Not in the current squad but not far from it. Can't say any more at the moment. Contracts are about to be awarded which will make decisions for a number of players over their futures.
Franchise slots being allocated this week I think,

That's really interesting.
There seems to be a little bit of money in the system finally. It has a feeling of 2009 to it, when the franchise system first came into effect.

It would be absolutely brilliant if we could get Ben Curran, Welch, Evans and Musakanda in the FC system. Throw in some overseas pro's and there's some depth there.

People screaming for Ballance to come back, Ben Curran would be a better bet

Not actually Rhodesian Doctors - it is called Rhodocs (I played for them) and the name was coined when the two clubs of ex-Rhodes University graduates and of Doctors combined quite long ago. So the 'Rho' stands for Rhodes University in South Africa, which many players attended!brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 3:27 pmaka. Why do you say that? Ballance is a proven player. I'm not downing Ben C, he may well become one, but Ballance is the proven real deal. He should have been given more opportunity in the England side. He had an ugly spell against Australia, but a good player like that sorts it out.
He is exactly what Zim needs, proper ability and years of experience.
