This is getting ugly
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
We have to bat really long in our first innings. That’s our only chance of getting a result in this game. The toss was vital here

We might be better off taking the new ball tomorrow morning

Well, this has been a bad day. Can only feel decent if we can snare a wicket or two with the new ball. Else, we are doomed.
Losing toss was a huge disadvantage here, obviously. I would have picked Ngarava in Don's place, but can't complain much about the team selection, given the win last match. Not the brightest captaincy by the looks of it. Underbowling Nyauchi and possibly could have bowled Burl more - for the sheer possibility of more turn with leg spin on a flat deck.

Williams under bowling Nyauchi is shocking, he has looked the most threatening of our bowlers
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
For me a competitive test team has 6 reliable batsmen (including the keeper), 1 all rounder and 4 specialist bowlers. The goal is to take 20 wickets for the least amount of runs. That’s how you win. When we are playing a team on a similar level to us this should be the target. We should only be playing 8 batsmen for better teams.
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
We were always going to be in trouble once the 2 specialists struggled. Like Kriterion once said after we won that test in Bangladesh, our all rounders are primarily batsmen and will struggle on a flat pitch
