[MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
English is at best a second language. They are working with a very limited vocabulary and trying to fill a lot of time.
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
The most dissapointing aspect of these two match is that Burl, Wesley and to a lesser extent Kasuza and Musakanda have not shown that they fully belong at this level. This is concerning for the future.
But do not forget that we won the first test!

it was better to lose the 1st test and win this one lol
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
Ryan Burl's batting technique has been terribly exposed by the Afghan spinners in this series, he really is over-rated, and he does not really deserve to be in the test team considering how poorly he batted.

As fans we need to be more vocal in demanding answers
Re: [MATCH THREAD] 2nd Test Afghanistan v Zimbabwe @Abu Dhabi
Wesley Madhevere is going to be the future star for Zimbabwe if he is nurtured well but I think the longest format right now is not for him. Nonetheless I would not mind persisting with him in the longest format, contrary to this general notion of "not throwing someone young and promising to the wolves" early on but I think with the kind of talent and promise Wesley has shown so far in his young career, it will do a world of good for his growth. I am impressed by Musakanda not matter how he performed in this series and he really has the mettle to replace Ervine when he retires and his body language is very positive as far as I am concerned on the field.

We've tried. ZC don't care. Our journos are weak too. They are in ZC pockets and don't care..
Mukhulani himself has said he has better things to do than ZC but still wont bother to let those that actually care about the game and know it take over.
Fans have voiced their concerns and when players tried to get change, some of the players (hammy) refused.
It's ok to lose matches, but to lose in this manner is just not acceptable. They made errors in the field. They made errors in the first innings, and then made the exact same errors in the 2nd. No accountability.
I'm starting to agree with others here. Burl is failing too often. Not boding well at all for us going forward particularly for WC qualifiers. Afghanistan are what we were in 03, and we should be so far further ahead of them by now, but instead we are behind them.

They want to run a national side like a private team.
