I had stopped watching the match only to come back to find him and Willo still fighting. I still think he's out of his depth at this level, but he seems to have some fight in him. No reason why Burl should be picked ahead of him on his batting alone. His bowling is just not good enough imo.

I think he should have focused more on his batting earlier in his career

Wesley Madhevere is going to be the future star for Zimbabwe if he is nurtured well.

You're not just going to have stuff handed to you because you're "talented". There's absolutely no guarantee that he will be a future star. He needs to work for it.

Sometimes I think all this talk of "talent" gets to these young guys' heads and they forget to put in the work. I don't believe in talent at all.

There's nothing more common in this world than unsuccessful people with "talent".

Well I agree with you on that but Wesley seems like someone who is eager to learn and work on his game. Sibanda, for an example, I thought would become a superstar for Zimbabwe when he first burst on the international scene, easy on the eyes when he batted but I guess the crooked people at the helm of ZC played an evil part in ruining players' career.
