Raza said this at the beginning of the day:
"We're going to have to take time out of this game," Sikandar Raza says. "The idea is to bat the whole day, and whether we score at 2 or 3 an over, it doesn't matter. If we're still batting at the end of the day, we're in a position to assess whether to declare and send them in, or if we need a few more runs. The idea is to be no more than two or three down at the end of the day. [the openers] have set us a good platform, and hopefully they can bat a lot longer. The conditions are a little tricky. It was a little two paced, and there was some variable bounce as well."
And then to get out like he did, what goes on their minds exactly when they get to the middle?

Don looks very solid. He looks miles better than some of our frontline batsmen. I hope I don't jinx him.

Willo in the 90s now with 2 boundaries.

That's how he plays. When it comes off we say he's fearless and we call him a hero. When it doesn't... well look at all the posts criticising him.

he has to play the situation. you cannot do that trying to save a test match. Those 6s were not going to change our plight but his wicket put pressure on the team

Not sure about these reverse sweeps. As long as he doesn't get out.
