The Kaia brothers continue to knock on the door for selection against a decent Mountineers attack. It will be difficult to continue to ignore them.

Roy should have converted this 50. He would have broken down the proverbial door. He is still at the forefront for selection in my view.

Problem is these runs are useless as they aren’t acquired at a level even close to measurable for international success.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 1:04 pmRoy should have converted this 50. Sikikar to how Maruma gets hundreds in this format and Craig gets 20s, but internationally that’s reversed as Craig is more adept to faster and spinnier balls.

We really need to have an A side going. Guys like Wes are definitely the future but throwing them in the deep end to sink or swim could do more harm than good. Roy has been around for a long time and should be given a chance to prove himself. I think he is no different from the like of Kasuza or Prince who have all really played plenty of FC cricket before getting their chance.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 1:04 pmRoy should have converted this 50. I had a good look at Roy kaia batting today in the video stream for southern Rocks latest match.
Thoughts are is that he seems an unhurried batsman who plays pretty close to his body which is a good sign for test cricket. he scored some good boundaries by driving nyauchi and also pulling and cutting Tiripano which also shows he has an array of shots.
Seemed to score pretty much in boundaries today which might not be reflective of his overall game as this is first time ive seen him bat.
Compact little player i think he should get his chance against pakistan for sure.
