Re: ZC Corruption Scandal - Former Player
Were any games in The 2018 WC Qualifiers fixed and subsequently thrown by Zimbabwe??? I think they only lost one game and that was to UAE...

Hell if someone threw their innings during the UAE game they deserve to get stoned in the middle of town.

Well, it's more like acting out of principle tbh. Family business is literally personal law including dealing with libel cases. I'm not gonna be the first to 'out' someone simply because it's not right to do so. My livelihood is literally stopping that kind of thing lol. And I believe in those principles.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:20 pmLionel hutz?secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:17 pmGuys....My family's business is literally law! I'm not gonna say who it is publicly haha. Don't pick on me lol, Half of Zimbabwe knows already, and they aren't saying either!
You can’t get sued from a forum, hosted out of Ireland, with dynamic IPS, all around the world in factual information.
It’s not a worldwide terrorism operation lol
Look up a guy called Derek godsey who legit makes videos accusing ppl of unsolved crimes. He’s breaking the law and even he isnt getting sued
My government will laugh if croc demands I get sent to Zimbabwe for leaking a name a day before the world knows.
Get real
I reckon almost the entire active cricketing community within Zim knows the name already. Go and pester everyone else
Besides, I'm getting way too much entertainment from reading all the speculation!

Nobody knows who you are though....why choose your username as 'secretzimbo' and then hide behind principle

I think I know who he is. If I’m correct, he thinks Rhodesia was a no good, evil, backward place, and much prefers the “New Zimbabwe”. Not my cup of tea. Keep your secret, mate.

Don't read anything into my username, it is just an old school nickname! Born in SA, moved to Zim aged 10 and spent first year or two of school complaining that everything was worse here and being a dick thinking I was better than everyone. Everyone called me Saffer etc. After a while, settled in, started supporting Zim cricket and soccer teams, and then everyone started saying to me 'ah he's a secret Zimbabwean really!' etc. After 25 years here, feel more Zim than SA now haha

So Melhuli is obviously loving things at the moment, which makes me think it's not one of the "group".
Someone has put a tweet in there about Streak to which he has responded, let's wait on the announcement.
Now if Streak had done anything, it would have been in his capacity as coach. We know for a fact it's nothing to do with the WCQ according to Melhuli, so that would suggest no match fixing from coach or players. Streak was definitely the guy who made me love cricket and it would shatter me if it is him, but we don't know for sure yet.
Personally, based on the time frame, seems likes it's either Taibu or Streak, but there was talk that the player is still involved. I can't think of anyone still involved that would fall in to legend category.
The sad thing is how the likes of Melhuli and co are revelling in this. Firstly, he is a journalist so it is very much his job to release a story and break the news, so all this hiding behind his tweets is just disgraceful. Secondly, it's quite obvious that there are factions who care less about Zim Cricket and only care about themselves, Melhuli being one of those peoples.
As long as this continues, Zim cricket will just continue to suffer and suffer because it's no longer about what's best for Zim Cricket, but whats best for the main core group of friends.

Pretty sad set of speculations to wake up to. We seem to throw the word "legend" around too lightly, so hoping that it is not a real "legend"...
Adding to the conspiracy theories though, could be be the legend who hit a six yesterday? Or the one who runs / ran a sports shop at HSC? Also, the 3rd leggie strangely did not play for the Rhinos yesterday despite decent performances...
But I seriously hope things are not as bad they are sounding

Mehluli Sibanda referenced a tweet of his from 2018. It was a tweet that Heath Streak replied to.
