I've been a massive supporter of Regis, but he has no competition and that leads to complacency. No one keeping him on his toes.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:43 amRealistically it's Regis or Richmond. People hate on Chakabva a lot but I'll keep defending him. He averages over 25 in Test cricket while keeping wicket and often batting at 6 or 7. For Zimbabwe standards thats not bad really.

Yeah, definitely. We have good competition for places in the bowling and massive competition in the middle order, which is really good.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:50 amI've been a massive supporter of Regis, but he has no competition and that leads to complacency. But three people have no competition; Masvaure, Kasuza & Regis. And they are the three that need it!

Half a keeper who can consistently score 45+ and the odd 80 is better than Regis

Full disclosure; I was a wicketkeeper when I played - so maybe thats why I disagree. In 5-day cricket you need a very good glovesman - unless they are absolutely world class with the bat. PJ doesn't even often have the gloves for Tuskers even....CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:55 amHalf a keeper who can consistently score 45+ and the odd 80 is better than Regis

If only DT was a keeper, he looks a way better batsman than Reggy at this level.

Why doesnt he focus on it, he could get in to the team so much easier couldnt he?secretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:59 amFull disclosure; I was a wicketkeeper when I played - so maybe thats why I disagree.
