Myers will be the one I'll watch out for, also I'll be happy if they give Shumba a bit of a run, even if it is as an opener, he is young, has got talent, why don't groom him for the future by giving him the exposure?

No Shumba or Myers should be included both are new, inexperienced. Zim should bring back Ryan Butterweak, Idiot Kaia, Kylan Bowie, talented leg spinner Graeme Bell.... these are experienced.

Please tell me he’s pulling our leg. Does he mean Devon Bell the Tuskers leggie who hasn’t played since 2015/16? Or Alexander Graeme Bell who may have invented the telephone but had a very readable googly.
There was a forum member who posted somewhere Maruma should only play this test if he bowls. Well, according to cricketarchive, he has only bowled 45 overs since 2013/14. And 27 of those were in 2016/17. Hardly the form to hold up one end at the highest level.

He is pulling your leg. It is his one joke. That we hear over and over again.

Tamim is doubtful for the match, and Mushfiq is looking probable. Mixed bag. Mushy really adds stability, but Tamim could have taken the game away in a single session if he played/plays.

Looks like its the perfect opportunity for both Shadman and Saif to show us if they belong at the highest level.

Both teams look to be near full strength. This will be Bangladesh's first tour to Zimbabwe in over 8 years. Although not part of the WTC, this series still has much meaning given the context of the long standing rivalry between these two sides. Bangladesh will feel they need to win if only to keep serious questions about their Test credentials at bay. Similarly, Zimbabwe will feel a win here will highlight their case for WTC inclusion.

Best lineup from the squads chosen:

BD: Tamim, Shadman, Shanto, Mominul, Mushfiq, Shakib, Nurul (WK), Miraz, Shoriful, Ebadat, Jayed

ZIM: Kasuza, Chakabva, C Ervine, B Taylor, S Williams, D Myers, M Shumba, Chisoro, Blessing, Ngarava, Nyauchi
No logic if they select Chisoro over Chatara. But knowing ZC they will most likely go with him.

A tail of Blessing, Nyauchi, Ngarava & Chatara would be very risky

Pretty keen for this match, it's been over 8-years since Bangladesh played a Test in Zimbabwe!!!

I like the idea of Regis opening with Kasuza, batting down at No.7 doesn't really suit Regis and it gives Zim the chance to play an extra bat down the order. I don't think it's a long term solution but for a one off test I think it can work.

The condition and nature of the pitch is so crucial for the result and the line-up Zim pick, I'd love to see a hard and fast deck with Zim picking four-pacers, but if it's going to be a slow deck like we've become accustomed to at HSC then they'd need to pick a spinner.
