Makes me laugh everyone who is selecting Marumani as their keeper. If you watched the South Africa series you would realise that he is not a keeper.

My XI
Marumani (wk…….joking  )
Taylor
Myers
Raza
Madhevere
Chakabva (wk)
Burl
Jongwe
Masakadza
Muzarabani
Ngrava

Bowling attack looks a little weak but I’m happy with that. 3 pacers then 3 spin options plus Raza but I doubt he will bowl. As much as people don’t like masakadza, he can be very economical and apply pressure.

I think chatara is a better option than Ngarava
I would rather have chatara ngarava and blessing together
At the same time
Remember Eddo Brandes, Heath Streak and Olonga
Or Neil Jonhson, Heath Streak and Olonga

I dunno I have belief in Chakabva to come good this series, make some good scores in all 3 games, he's gonna have a very senior role, without Ervine and Williams so I think he'll take well to that responsibility and bat pretty well. Come on Reggie don't let me down king.

If chakabva averages 25 in this series I will be very happy.

He is never going to be explosive but feel we have enough firepower with others around him. Especially raza marumani burl and Taylor.
As long as he doesn't bat as slow as Terry duffin. A strike rate of 65 will be suffice if others around him tee off

This bio bubble stuff is tricky. The problem is if they mess it up once we will never be able to host again. They cant take chances.

I expect a better performance with Wes, Marumani, Raza and Burl in the mix. Plus Chatara as well. Bangladesh are also missing a few guys. It's only fair. These are crucial games but we also need other guys to step up.

For me

Marumani
Wes
BT
Myers
Chakabva( wk)
Raza
Burl
Jongwe
Wellington
Blessing
Chatara

Chakabva is going to play whether people like it or not. He cant clear the ropes to save his life. Let him take the Ervine role and knock it about whilst anchoring for Raza and Burl and Jongwe.

I got a feeling Myers is going to come good. It's also raining right now. Let's hope tomorrow there is some clear weather

I also expect if we get smashed tomorrow they will bring Ervine and Williams back
You mean Zimbabwe can never host? What you mean dude? Is Covid-19 gonna keep us down forever? This Covid shit will be over by the end of 2022 for sure or there will no problems hosting teams by the end of 2022 and this biosecure bubble shit will also be gone.

Does the management have decided to pick other wicket keepers as bench warmer and drink carriers.?

J Gumbie has performed in domestic cricket and should be in the Playing XI replacing Chakabva

Ever watched how he bats? If not then you should not opine as to who needs to be picked. You only see someone's potential and talent when you watch them bat and bowl thoroughly. I think Zimbabwe should start grooming Marumani since he has some sort of keeping experiences so that Zimbabwe do not have to waste a spot for a specialist keeper who could not contribute with the bat. Marumani could become a star if he hones his keeping skill to adorn his batting ability. He is explosive, talented, young and fearless in his approach. With Madhevere, Muzarabani, Myers, Marumani, Shumba, Burl and couple of other kids on the fringe, nothing is more exciting than right now for Zimbabwe cricket. A year or two ago people were saying stuff like Zimbabwe would be done once those four seniors retire but the picture in the background much better now with the arrivals these promising lads from Under-19 team.

Why not give a try ? If he doesnt performs then there is no reason of including him in 15 member squad, whenever he gets picked in any format, he warms in the bench and 13 years experienced once in a blue moon performer Chakabva who scored just 47 runs in last 3 odis gets an edge over others.

Tiripano should bat at no 4, without Ervine to stabilise the innings we need someone watchful and sensible to stop us from falling like a deck of cards.

Marumani
Madhevere
Taylor
Tiripano
Myers
Raza
Shumba
Chakabva
Chatara
Jongwe
Muzarabani
