Pro50 starts 11th November. Double round-robin. Matches tentatively scheduled to be held at each of Queens, Kwekwe, Mutare and Masvingo - although that seems quite ambitious. A final scheduled for the 4th December.
Afghanistan ODI fixtures beginning 12th. Apparently. Test highly doubtful unless Afghanistan stump up the broadcast money in the next week or so - proving difficult.
There's supposed to be a round of Logan Cup 10th-13th Nov according to the fixtures on page 1 of this thread, but people are now circulating Pro50 fixtures starting 11th Nov. Lol, typical Zim domestic chaos! No idea.
Also this weeks Logan Cup round is due to start on Thursday with Rocks/Mountaineers in Masvingo but apparently will be moved to OH as Masvingo isn't ready. Someone said it was starting a day early (tomorrow) but not sure.
How does the broadcast money work? Whoever pays keeps the rights?
Well they are Zim's rights to sell, but ZBC won't pay much/anything, so we have to sell them to an Afghan broadcaster, or perhaps maybe an Indian one if they'd be interested? Theres not much value in a Zim-Afg test match though. It's like the recent Pak/Ban series - the 'host' broadcasters was actually the Pakistani/Bangladeshi companies, hence all the weird sponsors messages and weird inserts from Bangladeshi ministers talking about Covid lol. ZBC can't afford it!
Ultimately we need the broadcast money to afford to host the Test, or else ZC will make a huge loss. A recent Cricket Ireland report said it cost them 1 million EUR to host 1 test for example. Not that much here, but it certainly isn't cheap. The only way it is feasible for ZC is if there is a decent broadcast deal. But with Afghanistan's problems it sounds like their broadcasters either are no longer operating or no longer have any money. As a result the test is in doubt, unless someone finds the cash quite soon.
Everyone seems to know its him now and a newspaper in the UK has confirmed it. He's going to end up getting sacked when Yorkshire get their arses into gear and sort this.
He'll be finished in the UK. Either he retires or Houghton gives him a lifeline. Just not at Rocks with Raza

I would be very careful if I was Houghton if this ever proved to be the case. You don't want the more hard line elements of ZC thinking that he is somehow condoning racist behaviour. It could blow up in his face big time.
