Theyve got much deeper problems than Zim.
They only narrowly lost the last T20 series vs ZIM and were dominating the ODI series had it not been for rain, so at the moment they are more or less on the same level as ZIM.
I was talking about Cricket Ireland in general, not just their current team performance or something. But sure, alright.

Zimbabwe at worst are treading water. At best there has been some improvement in the running of the game here compared to say 3 years ago. Contrastingly, Ireland are enduring a very rapid and steep decline, as predicted. Unless their board can fix the very challenging structural issues in the game soon (they may do, tbf) - they'll soon fall far behind us.

Kriterion is right in pointing out the latest results but also don't forget that it was Ireland's home series. So they had atleast some advantage.

T20s were 2-3 and ODIs 1-1. Zimbabwe never got to bat in the washed off ODI, so we can't say Ireland were 'dominating' that game. You can say that if Zim were 20/2 and then the rain came down, not when they didn't face a ball.

If USA get services of their foreign recruits ( Aslam, Corey, Chand, Plunket ), they will start the T20 qualifiers as favourites, looking at current team they could give tough fight to the lower ranked teams of Top 12 ICC T20 Rankings

Slow flat tracks of Zimbabwe will suit USA in the qualifiers

I think y’all right, the Ireland squad will s ageing, esp the batsmen. As controversial as it was for the chevrons to ditch their experienced players for youngsters in the Ireland-Scotland series, it was a good decision in the long run. Ireland is going to slump for an extended period as they start to bring in younger players esp batsmen

Ireland do manage to save face. 1-1 in the end. Narrow win today.

Seems Ireland have no answer after Joyce, O'Brien brothers & Porterfield

They had posted 280 odd which would put the chasing side under pressure. They were looking like 250 tops and suddenly cut loose in the end to get to 280.
