Don't go by IPL performances, test cricket and even odis are a whole different game. Every year during IPL there is false perception that india can field 3 teams and still win. That's not happening.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 5:43 amHasaranga, Teekashana, Chameera, Pathirana.....Sri Lanka cricket to go boom veey soon. Hasaranga is world class in LOIs, I agree on that, the other three as of now, I'm not sure, Chameera has been around for long has good pace but hasn't had the kind of impact.

Shanto falls for a single digit score once again. On a flat track.
His home average continues to be abysmal.

Chahal, Kuldeep, Pandya, Bumrah had more impact through IPL then domestic cricket. Chameera had injury issue, he is slowly getting into the rhythm, Teekashana is a talent, has got lots of variety, he is getting wickets with his skills. Pathirana, you can say new, but he his talentedsam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 7:18 amDon't go by IPL performances, test cricket and even odis are a whole different game. No, Pathirana`s body will not be able to handle the pressure. His action is more extreme than even Malinga. Maheesh is like Ajantha mendis. Was alright in the first couple series but then declined rapidly. Chameera is on the wrong side of 30. I doubt the SL management will risk playing him in test due to his loi prowess and the variety of other options such as Asitha, Kumara and Rajitha available for the longest formatRajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 11:57 amTeekashana, Chameera & Pathirana are red ball materialsslcricfan1 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 8:49 amTHis is only in t20. Re: Sri Lanka Tour Of Bangladesh 2022 [ 2 Test ]
We needed a flat pitch as that was our best shot of getting a win. We got pretty much the perfect wicket but our bowling was consistent enough and Sri Lanka batted well to save the Test.
I wouldn't mind seeing a seaming wicket in Dhaka, although Asitha and Rajitha bowled really well in the 1st game. I hope it's not a raging turner, which is likely because SL will have a clear advantage on a dustbowl.
BTW we're is Jayawickrama? He's twice as good as Emboldeniya...
