Alzari Joseph has been bowling heat recently. He clocked at 152kph against Pakistan, which is insane.

Anderson Phillips
Jayden Seals
Kemar Roach
Jason Holder
Alzari Joseph
Oshane Thomas
Shannon Gabriel
Odean Smith (rapid)

There's some pace there and a lot of talent. They've got some good bowlers coming through and the fast bowling culture appears to be back in the team. Wen was the last time a West Indies side fielded 4 genuine quick bowlers without a specialist spinner?

I'm excited about this west indies test side. The ODI side and T20 side are neither here nor there. They have stupid amounts of talent but probably not the brains to succeed. The test side, however, has had more success in recent times than they have for ages.
Long may it continue. The world needs a strong West Indies and a strong Sri Lanka, and it looks like both sides are starting to climb up.
Ever since they started using the dukes ball and fixed their pitches, they`ve started looking good again. Just a couple of good batters and they can start winning against top sides again tbh

Yea they had that big overhaul didn't they during COVID and the wickets were re-laid. They've got the same as what the Australians use at the WACA. Different loam

Reckon Zimbabwe needs to do something like that. The pitches need to be more conductive towards pace bowling which is their strength right now. The spinners just arent coming through the ranks.

Kriterion Idk how you are coping with this. I`m genuinely confused as to how BD have become such mental midgets. Change of coach needed maybe?
Meh. Two very poor WTC cycles so far. It's been a rough 4-5 years.

That being said, we've got a decent howling attack to work with. Not world beaters by any means, but a Test class seam attack and the spinners seem to have improved also.

The batting has been worse than terrible. However I still a fair bit of potential. Tamim, Shakib, Mushy, and Liton are dependable and class. Mominul is just having a extended poor run like Kohli is, and Root had a few years back. With Shanto, Yasir, Nurul, and Mosaddek we have the depth.

There's a 4 month break between the hone series vs India. Specialists like Shanto and Mominul have plenty of time to think about their games.
