There is just so much intensity in WC games, which can never be seen in bilaterals.
Was just thinking about when watching the game. Bilaterals are just losing their appeal, especially ones that just drag on. If I'm no mistaken, NZ's tour of Pakistan is something silly like 9T20s and 7 ODIs. After a certain point you just lose interest in the series.

Tournaments like this add more appeal and excitement. We can still have bilateral series, but they need to be shortened I think and also have some sort of promotion/relegation system.

Bilaterals are kinda get boring now (except Tests). Bilateral T20s shouldn't exist IMO unless there is a league. Even then there are too many formats for my liking. I think T20 should just be relegated to franchise leagues. Internationals should just be Tests and ODIs and they should bring back the Super League. Have the ODI world cup every 4 years, and an ODI Champions Trophy every 4 years in between.

There could still be a T20 world cup, but make it every 4 years, and make it big tournament with 16-20 teams and have it over in 3 weeks.

I don't see the point in the Champions Trophy. It's just another attempt to create a rift between the big teams and the smaller teams. If anything, it should be made into an Associates cup. The first thing that needs to be done is have a regulation on the T20 leagues. It also needs to be such that countries don't have restriction on things. I don't like how BCCI does not allow Indian players to play in other leagues, but International players all scramble to the IPL. It needs to be fair. BCCI has always had a superiority complex, but this is not beneficial to the game.

Man o Man, the associates have come here with a point to prove. Absolutely shredding the test playing nations.

Wake up ICC.

ICC can't do anything about it. With the BCCI/IPL/franchise cricket cartel taking over cricket the non-Big 3 full members get squeezed and hence why they vote for an ICC event every year. ODI world cup, T20 world cup, Champions Trophy means there will basically be an ICC event every year almost on average. Which means enough money for the non-Big 3 full members to survive. And that means cutting out the Associates cuz something has to give. Trickle down never works.

Little has bowled a very solid spell here so far. Can always go wrong in the final over and ruin your figures. Always knew he had a bit of pace, but surprised to see McCarthy and Adair also hitting high 130s. Always thought they were trundlers.

The ball that Ngarava bowled to bowl Tucker, it was 140KMPH, is he the fastest bowler Zimbabwe have produced after Andy Blignaut?
