Williams is so pissed off with the Irish fielding. He won’t shut up😂
I didn't see any of that!

Brilliant win for Zimbabwe and I'm so happy to see Madande finishing this off and Ballance getting runs. Just what we wanted from this game, more promise in the batting department. So good to see this.

Decent performances by Ballance and Madande here. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Maybe Madande will come in at 6 on Saturday if the weather allows it

Actually I was surprised to see him ahead of Evans

Good to get home safely.

We sure do need Williams

That was a nice little innings from Madande. He did everything we could expect from Regis

Good win by the boys, very professional bowling and fielding display apart from those drops. Batting was a bit dicey but ultimately on a difficult pitch they did it quite comfortably in the end.

Madande impressed with his 18 off 10 hopefully a sign of things to come and a long and prosperous career ahead for Zimbabwe’s new wicket keeper batsman.

Shame for Marumani I reckon it was going over, Ervine was awful again, not sure if it’s the format or he’s passed it? Still scoring for fun for Eagles I guess.

Ballance looked edgey and nervous but he did his job, shame he was there at the end not out for 50, but on a shit pitch he did well.

Need to sort these decks out, so slow and boring to watch cricket on, the qualifiers are going to be a nightmare with so many games being played.

We have had a shed load of rain this last week, and mire predicted this weekend. A lucky dry day today.

But for sure our pitches are worrying. The flattening out in the afternoon is very noticeable. I don't recall if there's always been this tenancy though, but it does look to be getting more noticeable.

I've said for a while that they need to put some new clay on at least 3 pitches at HSC and one or two at OH.
Clay clearly ages and those decks have been there for decades.
Too late now . Should have relaid them last year

Yeah HSC pitches are never the most exciting. But to be fair the weather has been horrendous for a couple of weeks. Not much the groundsmen can do in these conditions. They also don’t have the equipment, budget and knowledge that Lord’s groundsmen have of course. They usually do a good job with what they have.

As Googly says, ideally they need relaying at some point but that’s a big job (I think?).

Madande is a talent. He’s been on the radar for quite a while. I think he will be better in red ball cricket though long-term.

Gutted for Marumani, sounds like a bad decision? He will go big one of these days. I know it.

Good start for Ballance
