Re: Future tour rumours
I think theres still at least 1 county visiting in Feb/March to play some Select XIs too so that will be quite exciting.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 2:39 pmUpcoming:

Re: Future tour rumours
ODI WC is in October, how can the ICC schedule T20 WCQ at this time? Does it mean Zimbabwe or Namibia being forced to send a second string team for the T20 Qualifiers should they qualify for the ODI WC?secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 2:39 pmUpcoming:

ICC are hilarious, I won't be surprised if thier schedules do clash.

How certain are you about the Namibia tour? Is it ODIs or t20s?secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 2:39 pmUpcoming:

Very interesting point. If we do pull off a miracle and qualify the ODI world cup then they will surely have to move the qualifierssam_ahm wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 7:04 pmODI WC is in October, how can the ICC schedule T20 WCQ at this time? Re: Future tour rumours
Pretty sure Zimbabwe doesn't have to go through the African qualifiers or even the next stage of qualifiers.
I thought they went straight to qualifying round held directly before the WC, ie the Hobart qualifiers ?

Re: Future tour rumours
There was nothing like 'Hobart qualifiers' that was the actual World Cup, first round.
Zimbabwe qualified for the event by winning the Qualifiers (Group B) in July.
They do have to be in the top 2 of the African qualifiers to qualify for the 2024 WC.
I'm amazed that you are unaware of this, because you are such a good and knowledable poster.

Re: Future tour rumours
Yeah they have scrapped the Global Qualifier for the 2024 T20WC. It’s all being done per region. So we are with Namibia, Uganda, Kenya and a few others. 2 spots from Africa qualify.
That Africa qualifier is from the 1st-14th October.
No exact dates for the 50 over World Cup yet but I believe it’s likely to start right at the end of October so no direct clash

I don’t know if you’re taking the micky out of me or being serious, but fair enough I’ve obviously got this wrong lol.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:04 amThere was nothing like 'Hobart qualifiers' that was the actual World Cup, first round.

Haha... I was being serious mate. ICC are a joke and create a lot of confusion so I do understand not being aware of Zimbabwe participating in Africa Qualifiers for 2024, but you need to be punished for missing out on Zimbabwe winning the 2022 T20 WCQ by beating Netherlands in the finalsjaybro wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:50 amI don’t know if you’re taking the micky out of me or being serious, but fair enough I’ve obviously got this wrong lol.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 7:04 amThere was nothing like 'Hobart qualifiers' that was the actual World Cup, first round.
