Good 50 for Kaia. He is definitely one of my favt Zimbabwean players now.

Long way to go but just imagine if Zimbabwe even end up drawing this series. That will be huge.
Not "huge" but decent. WI are the 2nd worst test team after Bangladesh

What about Ireland and, dare I say, Zimbabwe?

West Indies are reasonably the 7th-8th best Test side, probably on a par with SL. We are realistically 10th-12th, with Ireland/Afg. A drawn series would be good considering we haven't played for 18 months and are missing the core of our side (Williams, Raza, Burl, Muzarabani, and we can include the loss of Regis).

We've lost all 5 of our previous series with them, so I'd be happy with a draw.

Anything can happen and we could surprise them in the 2nd Test and sneak a win. You can't discount a Houghton side. It's just a shame we didn't select the best squad available.

Chamu and spin. He is actually better off opening to be honest even if he is batting at 5 for the Eagles. He has to adjust to the situation. Maybe Kaia will come in at 3 next time.

How about not being in the team at all?

This is his 149th international appearance and he is still yet to score a century. His record across all formats is very poor at international level. We knew at least 10 years ago, possibly more, that he is abject against spin and yet here we are in the year 2023 and people still think he is worth a go.

Further, let's consider his entire body of work including domestic cricket. He has batted in 535 innings across his career and scored 11 centuries. That's one every 49 innings and most of them have been in our low quality domestic competition.

He will never win matches of international cricket for Zimbabwe.

Oh and to top it all off he dropped a catch early this morning too.

I've never seen any fan wearing a replica Zim Test shirt, have those ever been sold?

I understand the need for experience in these matches. Chibhaba has actually done ok domestically.
I suppose everyone has seen Williams in the dressing room and wants to jettison chibhaba next match 😄
Fair call. There is still the second innings to go.
Jonathon cambpell for wellington next match so we actually have a number 7 .
Chivanga for any one of Evans ngarava or nyauchi. None of whom have added to their reputation this match.

Chivanga and blessing next match.
Bowling has been dissapointing to say the least.
Kudos to Mavuta though. The comeback is complete.

Yes WI and SL are equal strength in Tests and take the 7/8 slot. Bangladesh are comfortably behind them sadly.
