Zim 4 down looks really interesting for the West Indies. I bet they are licking their figures here if they get Ballance out they will fancy their chances of pulling off a win. We are in trouble.

This is going to be tense last hour or so

What’s the cut off time? Cricinfo still saying 20 overs to play?

How does that 1st innings declaration look now? That was idiotic.
Win or lose it was a great declaration. Same for the Windies 2nd one. Test cricket needs this kind of thing

I think westindies more than us would be disaapointed .they could have easily asked us to chase 200-210 and got enough overs to bowl us out. We did fine with declaration

This is a good test for Tsiga to prove he can bat well. Ballance getting a massively challenging position in the first innings to engineer the comeback and now he needs to bat till the end of the day to save the game, really big challenge for him but if he's not out at stumps today, he's my man of the match, not Chanderpaul.

In a weird way, Tsiga is kind of the best person to be in right now with GB. Tsiga’s strength is his ability to stonewall & bay for a long time, that’s ultimately the reason he’s been picked.

I guess it depends how much you value playing for a draw in a test.

Right now, I value a draw a lot.

A) would give these guys a lot of confidence that they were able to draw with the Windies after the poor build up with injuries, players going overseas and the warm-up match debacle.

B) It keeps us alive in the series and who knows, a different pitch and we bat first next test maybe it’s Zimbabwe pushing for victory on Day 5

If they don’t want to draw matches, they need to produce ‘result wickets’ this is not a result wicket imo

Have to say, it’s been a disappointing match for Craig Ervine. Out in both innings to soft dismissals after getting into double figures on a deck he should be scoring hundreds on.

His captaincy has also been a bit disappointing too, I feel he’s use of Mavuta in the second innings was poor, I don’t k is why he waited so long to bring him on.
