I’m starting to think you are Joylord himself!
If you are playing madande where does he fit then? Thats if we all want the zim superstars of ervine williams ballance raza and burl

That most excellent 140 of Gumbie's makes anything possible. ZC are desperate for a local lad to do something extraordinary. Logical selection can easily be overridden by a word from above, let everyone know who's boss and all.

Gumbie has impressed in red ball cricket, and fair enough - he'll deserve his Test cap next time round. But he has a very poor T20 record and a mediocre List A one so really shouldn't be considered in white ball cricket.Donald wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 8:09 pmJust a cricket fan dude.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 7:59 pmAbsolutely not! No idea who opens. Marumani and Wes in bad form. There are very few alternatives to partner Kaia. Maybe Ervine will have to be a makeshift opener although he really isn't suited. The alternative is Burl but he hasn't opened for about 10 years! It's a real problem.
As for fitting Madande in (at 7 ideally) - that will only be a problem if everyone is fit, and they very rarely are. The chances of Ervine, Williams, Ballance, Raza and Burl all being injury free and available for all 3 matches seems unlikely! Let's hope so though.

Has to? No not sure about that, but certainly not out of the question.
As I pointed out, Zim have a small player pool, so players get picked for performances in different formats, so it's a possibility.
Especially after the Tsiga selection, anything is possible.

Vikramijit Singh has entirely been brought up in Dutch system .he is even born in netherlands.must have rarely visited India.so is Aryan duttjaybro wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 11:15 amWho?secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 7:01 amThey produce plenty.
Their home internationals last year when their county players were unavailable, the squad was majority homegrown.
From that XI I posted only Bas De Leede, & Paul Van Meerken are proper dutch born players. Plus Vivian Kingma who’s also in the squad as well.
So who are these Dutch born, bred & produced from their system players?
Born in South Africa & Zim
RvdM
Glover
Myburgh
Baressi
Ackerman
Snater
Klein
Born in Aus
Cooper
Edwards (born in Tonga but raised in Aus)
Tim van den Gugten
Born in NZ
Logan van Beek
O’Dowd
England
Klassen
India/ Pakistan
Musa Ahmed
T. Nidamanuru
V. Singh
Pringle was actually born in Holland, but his father played for NZ so I’m not sure how much time he spent in the Netherlands or if he came through their cricket system?
Few other guys who don’t have cities of birth in their profiles, but as you can clearly see, the majority of their senior players & best players are expats or players with Dutch ancestry.

And where exactly does madande fit in if you want the superstars? You cant open with him he has never done it before.
Re: Netherlands ODI Series - Discussion
If he can get some form then that's ideal

According to both espncricinfo & wikipedia, he was born in India
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikramjit_Singh
https://www.espncricinfo.com/cricketers ... gh-1153767
He very well might have been developed through the Dutch cricket system, which is more important than where he was born.
Evan if he was a product of their system, as I've shown above, the majority of their best players are foreign imports and not locally developed players.
