who is your favourite player and why
who is your favourite player ever for zimbabwe, can be past or present or even future players coming up. Mine is andy blignaut by far for his entertaining batting and explosive bowling back in the day. also admire taylor, flowers, streak, olonga for standing up to the cockhead.

Re: who is your favourite player and why
I was never really around when the Flowers, Streak, Goodwin, Whittals etc were in full flow, so i'd have to choose a player from the modern day Zimbabwe.
If I had to choose an up and coming star it would be Kyle Jarvis. I absolutly, 100% think this kid is going to be a supertar in the future. He's got pace, bounce, nip and he's extremly physically fit. Heath Streak will be working hard with him in the future, what a talent he's going to be.
But if i had to pick a cricketer that i most enjoy whatching, it'd have to be Sean Williams. I genuinly believe that he's the best batter in Zimbabwe at the moment. His technique is very solid, and he has an array of class shots, something we've been lacking since the retirment of Andy Flower. He uses his wrists to good effect and he plays spin superbly well. I think he's a better batter than Craig Ervine, though Ervine is going to be a very good and classy player for us when we do eventually return to test match cricket.
The inclusion of Sean Williams to any Zimbabwean side is huge. He brings a level head, a smile, and class...

I remember the Pakistan series in 2008 when he just scored runs for fun. I think he scored three 50's in that series, and got out on 48 in another innings. When he's in form he looks a million dollars, and we need to pray that he can come good in the South Africa ODI series. Exciting times ahead !!

Andy Flower was my favourite player of the previous generation of Zimbabwean cricketers. My current favourite player would have to be Sean Williams.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

For sheer entertainment value it would have to be Elton when he is on song. Espercially when he first came on the scene and all he was expected to do was rearrange the run rate! I like Tibba cos he really gets things going and then Taylor who is the only batsmen in the current Zim team who plays this wicked legside clip off the pads, I don't know what that shot is called but he executes it perfectly! Love it and am looking forward to it this series. And for that six he hit against bang!
Just saw the first Aus vs Zim T20 and I have settled for Taylor.
