[Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
Re: [Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
world record score beckons. Zim have a worse attack then most associates
Re: [Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
I am not jumping on the bandwagon but nicholson is a liability in the field and really nothing special with the ball, he is also a number 11 so really he isn't serving his purpose, perhaps its an off day but if it was another seamer people would say that. people on this forum would be slating mpofu or masakadza jnr. if they performed as the lad did, simply he just isn't international standard. Chamu chibhabha has a better economy at the moment and that is saying something. SOS to ray price you are sorely missed. rant over.
Re: [Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
Meth should be playing or at least in the squad, at least he is showing form domestically and can offer us form in the field, pace and movement with the ball and apparently some fireworks with the bat too

Can`t understand why Grant flower is not playing this match?

Re: [Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
what happened to ray price?
Re: [Match Thread] 3rd ODI (South Africa v Zimbabwe)
I think we have a slight problem with our bowling...

Price is injured.
The bowling that has been displayed this series is perhaps the most inept I have ever seen from a full member ICC country. This series has been a true embarrasment. Anyone who thinks we can even compete with anyone in test cricket while we have this bowling lineup is kidding themselves. With this lineup teams could rack up 500 runs in a day easy.

Oh dear !
Nicholson looked like he was nervous guys. Give him a chance. We've persisted with Mpofu and Mazakadza throughout this series. He looks like he's got more pace than the other bowlers, and he can swing it. There's work to be done but i'm sure he'll be a good bowler in the future.
Right now, however, he needs to be dropped and asked to play domestically. He, like all the bowlers, are too raw for international cricket at the moment. I would actually consider packing our side with spinners, oh and bring in Meth ! we're crying out for a medium pace bowling allrounder.
Poor batting today aswell.
