I thought he’d be older than that - I think I remember him playing quite a bit before the 2003 World Cup? Must have been really young when he was first in the team. Really awesome to see him in the squad anyway - good on him! Had no idea he would still be going.

He was/is a great player. I loved that Kenyan team of old.
He reminds me of Cameroonian Roger Milla.

Collins Obuya is the man! What a legend of the game. Kenyan cricket is slowly on the upswing I think, they seem to have a couple of decent young guys coming through. Long way back though.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

A couple of useful links to matches, so that everyone can have a look at some of our opponents:

Uganda vs Tanzania - rare bad performance from Miyagi and Kyewuta but it was a great batting wicket:

Kenya vs Nepal - spin bowling masterclass from Vraj and Ngoche pulled them out the shit to beat Nepal. They lost the series 3-2 after bottling the last game.

Rwanda vs Tanzania - Rwanda greatest win

Nigeria vs Tanzania - Didn't watch this one but its the only clip I could find on YouTube.

Lots of positive signs for African cricket. Standard has improved quite a bit over the past few years.

Loads of investment going in Rwanda cricket as well, they stream everything on YouTube even all the women's games.

The MCC have invested in Rwanda and are supporting them with their facilities, they now have a half decent international ground.

They have an English head coach as well with lots of first class experience.

They haven't got any decent players yet in the men's team but the women's under 19s beat the west indies and a few others in the world cup including Zimbabwe

Henriette Ishimwe (?) one of the finest women bowlers I’ve seen, pitch it on a six pence more times than not.
