The guys from Rockingham Colliery CC run a scheme supporting the rural areas. Monyonga, Matsikenyeri and Wes have played there in the past.

Oh yeah they do great stuff, they’ve got half a dozen primary schools playing weekly and they’ve built nets and infrastructure.

Some of the older guys from Gladiators (NPL) volunteer a lot of time coaching in partnership with them.

Someone needs to develop a plastic bat that has exactly the same characteristics and weight as wood. One bat until you grow out of it. Should only be compulsory to use a willow once you are at senior level and in a game. These bats are just ridiculously priced. You can break a 500 dollar bat in the nets ffs. Plus these balls we use here are bat breakers.
