Hard to believe that this is the same team that beat the world champions in their own backyard a year ago.

Just yesterday we are all talking about how Wellington should not be picked at the expense of a batter.
He was picked and became a liability

A lot of us, especially myself, said that at the end of the WC campaign that Chatara should be retired.
He was picked and got pumped up the butt.

This is the other issue with this team.
They could be playing a team of 40yr old Indian software developers having a bit of fun on the weekend, and we would treat them with so much respect and bring it to the wire.

Uganda should be viewed as a waste of time and blown away.
This would have been teh same score if it was NZ or Uganda. We seem to treat them the same.

We are not dead yet but we better treat the remaining games with the respect they deserve and hope for rain outs elsewhere and a miracle

People like Ben Curran Jonathin Campbell and Brian Bennett will see an opportunity if ervine and williams are retired. Unfortunately none are a patch on our current incumbents.

Houghton gtg. He instilled a good energy in the team a year ago but tactically he is lacking and I think the game has passed him by.

When Uganda played the u-25 team last week in the first game the u-25 team only bowled 4 overs of part-time spin and they lost.
In the second game Owen Muzondo played as a specialist spinner and bowled 3 overs 1-10 and all the other spinners went for <6 an over. That should have being picked up by the team management that maybe you should be bowling a lot of tight finger spin at Uganda. Yet in this game Wellington only bowls 2 overs, a complete tactical failure.

I definitely agree though that Houghton still needs to be kept around. Maybe make him the u-19 coach for the next cycle after the World Cup.

The next coach needs to an excellent strategist because with no obvious captaincy choices whoever takes over will need all the help they can get.

We can't start listing the guys that should be replacing anyone because there's nobody that has put their hands up yet.
I'm just waiting to see ZC's reaction to this. They're going to make a scapegoat of somebody....then pay themselves a bonus.

Wellington may or may not be the answer - that’s a separate debate.

But name me a single successful T20 side, franchise or international, without a top class specialist spinner a big part of their success. In any conditions.

Our all rounders are not good enough, consistent enough, reliable bowlers in this format. They just aren’t and they continue to prove it.

He doesn't set himself apart as being that much better, if at all. I'm talking T20 here.
Decent bowling figures this game though, and inexplicably only gets two overs.
His selection this game makes even less sense when he now bats at 6? Sent in to hit some boundaries clearly and then struggled.
Nothing against him, he's a good player, but he was mismanaged today.
