Hamilton has a right to be aggrieved, he hasn't even been around or in the office for a few years. He's gotta be thinking WTF I haven't done anything to deserve this.

He’s a good fella for sure. Stuck his neck out for BT and his shenanigans when everyone was sticking the boot in.

In a normal world a few reporters would be pressing the Chairman for a statement. Here we have to follow a racist's twitter feed for updates.

For what it’s worth I think Hamilton has done alright in the job on a lot of things. He’s a pretty smart educated dude as well and obviously his weight of experience is good to have in the system.

But you can’t be playing professionally overseas like he is whilst your team that you oversee is in a crucial World Cup qualifier. It is unacceptable. Utseya should be fired for doing the same thing too.

Also although there have been improvements to things under Hami’s watch, there doesn’t appear to be an actual high performance plan, or any defined player pathways still. That’s pretty much what the director of cricket is responsible for, I think?

You need someone actually experienced in running an elite cricket system in the role.

Who would they get now though? Only mercenaries or guys on their 7th scooner of the hour would be interested in this poison chalice.

Worst part about it is that he faced the same Ugandans a month ago and scored 34 off 26 at number 3 as a 40 year old retired cricketer. I would be pissed.

Was has Hammy actually done? Seems to be more interested playing in boozers league franchise tournaments overseas.

He’s done nothing so by default has done nothing wrong hey. Think smart

Must have been a case of mistaken identity and they thought they were chopping Wellington.

I see Larry Kwirirai is walking back the whole sacking story.
Either he's behind the times or he's trying to tone down the Mawoza gunboat diplomacy.
