I must say am quite pleased with the score, I thought the Aussies were gonna go all ballistic with the bat, at the moment 263 is a score that can be chased hopefully our openers can occupy the crease.

Zimbabwe are capable of this. Great bowling by Price, Utseya and Cremer. Mpofu had his moments, although he needs to permanently have a fine leg in place. It was a wonderful run out from the deep.

Taylor and Coventry have to get Zimbabwe off to a good start. I'd love to see Coventry go berserk and make a 50 ball 70 or better, but the most important thing for the team is a solid opening stand. The longer Taylor and Coventry are at the crease, the higher Zimbabwe's chances of overhauling the total.

Imagine if Lamb had been playing today? 10 economical overs from him and Australia might have been restricted even more. The problem was the fifth bowler - Chigumbura and Taylor were expensive. Williams was good, perhaps he'll bowl a bit more during the tournament?

Anyway, I do think we've got a game on our hands. Zimbabwe weren't blown out of the park, 350 wasn't scored as Mark Waugh predicted, in fact Zimbabwe I think exceeded expectations - I was optimistically hoping for between 270-280. The bowlers played their roles, now its the batsman's turn.

I would be happy if we win, our record may not suggest that but stats dont always guarantee wins, Johnson is an easy target if he is having an atrocius day, hopefully we bat sensibly and utilise the pace and guide the ball around. I agree brmtaylr we really did miss lamb. I forget during the pitch side commentary one of the commentators really wrote Zim off, hopefullly we pull off a surprise some of the foxsports commentators were saying they had never heard of the names in our team, come on Zim lets give the aussies another 1983 world cup shock.

Lee to Coventry, SIX, that is one of the flattest sixes you'll see! Coventry laid into a length ball outside off and played the square drive with immense power. The ball rocketed off the ball and flew over the point boundary. It carried about ten feet over the boundary and smashed into the wall.

Our batsmen our looking rather out of their depth at the moment against the bowling of Lee, Johnson, and Tait.
