Long gone are the days of specialist keepers yo. They pick a batter who can keep and have for a long time so not separate. .
Okay so your happy with 5 bowlers is more my point ?

Well, yes  if bowlers can only bowl 10 overs each, how else would they get 50 in bro?

Get special dispensation from the ICC old mukulhani saying Nels Dawg on ZCF says we can only play four bowlers?

Blessing, Richard, Evans, Raza, Williams, Burl, Wes

That’s all the bowling you need. Sure, all 7 may not play at once, but we can easily get away with three tail Enders

No need to play Jongwe if we have three pacers. Dave's selections at times can be very strange.

I'm concerned this innings from Kaia, really has issues against the short ball. I think Ireland also bounced him out during the last ODI series. Perhaps look at Kataino at three in the next match. Klong showed what he can do, just needs to do it for longer and be a bit more selective.

Changing tack, assuming with the weather that this game will get rained off, what does the forum think for Friday's game? Any changes? Hope the toss goes Zim's way and get some early Irish wickets?
Rain will save Zimbabwe and there is always a chance that next game Raza and Burl will come off. If that happens then we can look at a decent score.

So there is always hope.

I actually rate Madhevere. No matter how badly he has gone, I've seen that he is capable and can bat even against good pace attacks. He is actually weaker against spin.

I will persist with Madhevere in any case, because my other options are simply not good enough.

They should have played Shumba ahead of one of the bowlers today, possibly Chivanga. Shumba is another one who is capable, he is not someone who is hopeless.

I had hopes on Kaia but he simply ain't doing good. I don't know what went wrong with him.

He needs chopping, clearly lost touch with reality promoting kadza to 6 in the qualifiers and now thinking Jongwe at 7 is a safe selection.

Will they give mavuta and K long the opportunities and long rope madhevere has had.

Positive signs from them. Mavuta could turn out to be a very handy all rounder.
His 3 consecutive 50s in Pro 50 and half century against West indies show he has something.
