I think they’ll get a young coach with t20 experience next.
Not that it makes a huge difference

I think they’ll be looking for someone tough. What with the Mangongo return and the 4-month drug bans they are clearly going down the discipline route going forwards. We wont be seeing a hands-off coach renowned for ‘trusting players’ and talking about ‘freedom’ etc. it’ll be a disciplinarian.

Chawaguta has been appointed the new women’s coach ahead of the Ireland T20’s.

So he’s not getting the permanent men’s gig (thankfully).
Does that mean Brent is going to coach the men's team
Least Fire Matsi and appoint Brent as the batting coach if a new renowned Coach is appointed..

I’m curious to see what kind of squad he will have. Will it be truly an U25 squad or will it be Zim ‘A’. Steve really will put his foot down so I suspect he will have a huge say on who is in the squad.

It’s probably wishful thinking but if it’s Zim A then I’m hoping we get to see Nick Welch, Gwandu, Campbell, K-Long and even Ben Curran in the squad. I believe we need to take a closer look at Curran to see if he has the technique to survive at the highest level, almost like Gumbie for example who wasn’t knocking on the door for years but has the technique. The problem is I see the likes of Roy Kaia getting picked if it now becomes bigger than the U25s

Interestingly enough Naqvi won’t meet the u25 criteria by the time the tour kicks off. Will be interesting to see what happens. A genuine u25 team will also get spanked in the UK.
