Marumani has more natural ability than Bennett with the bat.
Bennett and Campbell's batting so far in their nascent career's is hazy to me (been sleep deprived for the entire series, so even though I watched large chunks of the series, my usual analysis is lacking), so I'm going to refrain from saying they're "world class talents". But I have seen Marumani's batting extensively since his international debut. If you play 5 or even 10 innings, you may have a lot of natural ability and nothing to show for it. Think Marvan Atapattu. But once you've played 20+ you've got to know a knock here or there that demonstrates real ability.

Case in point being Mohammad Ashraful. He's probably the worst batter to have played 50+ Tests and 150+ ODIs. Career average of under 23 across formats. But even he hit a hundred in just his 3rd international innings. Hit 9 hundreds overall, with just 1 being against a shit side.

Bennett makes runs with limited natural talent, Marumani makes fan boys gush absolute tripe with more natural talent

Only one of them matters on the scorecard.

Its not even about that. Its about at what point do you take stock and say "maybe we've made an error at some point of the analysis".

Long before 50 games or however many he’s played haha. It’s Wes all over again. It does nobody any favours, least of all young Tadiwanashe. Failure after failure must get soul destroying after a while.

Been a big point of debate on this forum since the Sibanda days.

ZIM are back in the top 12 now...just ahead of Scotland on decimals.

Will be a very tight race for automatic qualification.

One more win for Zimbabwe in this series would gave almost certainly seen them through. They should have won that 4th T20I. Chasing 144 in modern day cricket is as easy as it comes!

You’d think so. Guns like Travis Head would have chased that down inside the powerplay  we couldn’t even do it in the full 20.

In this WC I don't think we'll see scores or batting like we're seeing in the IPL. I'm willing to bet.
The boundaries will be bigger, the bowling potentially a bit tighter and most importantly there's more pressure playing for your country.
Plus of course some of the batters haven't come close to the IPL and just aren't as free-flowing or as good.
