LOL I was just taking a cursory glance at the stats and he is in the top 5 performers amongst the bats men who has some test experience.

I am counting on ZC too do that as well. But Vusi wouldnt be a dumb decision at all.

Except perhaps with the fast bowling stakes, I wouldn't take any selection risks just yet

I agree I think its been such a long time since test that some of these guys have 'forgotten' and are really on the same leve as these young turks. I cant wait for the announcement of the team.

Just 10 days to go before the big tour games and still no clear indication of a 15man squad! Should we be worried? I certainly am.

Anyway if the technical committe need my two cents worth of advice, from that pathetic training squad of 32 - seeing as Williams is out & Ewing was omitted - this is it:
List A
1Taylor 2Hamilton 3Taibu 4Vusi 5Ervine 6Coventry 7Utseya 8Cremer 9Rainsford(or sadly Elton - bat at 7) 10Price 11Mpofu

First Class
1Taylor 2Duffin 3Hamilton 4Vusi 5Ervine 6Taibu 7Mutizwa 8Meth(or sadly Elton) 9Price 10Rainsford 11Mpofu

Seeing as he is Captain, those guys will definitely make way for the man in brackets. Ewing should've been selected!!! Anyway, If Rainsford doesn't come right with his fitness, Panyangara can slot in. Raza can come in for the non-performing batsman. (On that I'm certain Chamu&Tino witnessed Raza's exploits this past term, particularly that unforgettable Raza/Lara partnership. Albeit they were moderate overall, there was enough in there to suggest that whatever potential they have will never exceed Raza's results, hence he's ahead of them.)
1Mawoyo 2Vusi 3Hami 4Taylor(c) 5Craig 6Matsi 7Taibu(wk) 8Elton 9Cremer 10Rainsford 11Mpofu 12Jarvis

MAYAZ! But this is ZC and I wont fall down and faint if he features in the 15.
List A - 1-5 yes I might take out Cremer or Utseya for Elton and if Rainsford is injured then would put Panyangara in.
First Class - 2 Raza/Mawoyo 8 Chigs Might as well get used to puting him in any XI cos he IS in whether we like it or not, unless if the Captain is going to be put on the Bench! Again this is ZC!

“In the four-day games we will have more room to asses other players especially in the fast-bowling department where we have players like Kyle Jarvis who has been doing well at Essex in the UK as well as other players.” Campbell said.
So Jarvis will be palying in the 4 dayers
