All matches in Florida are set to be washed out. USA will make the Super 8s and that is the end for Pakistan and for Zimbabwe's direct qualification chances.

We have to hope Africa gets 2 qualifying slots, else it's a tough road for Zimbabwe.
That can change quickly. Need India to tonk USA today. Also weather forecast can change in matter of days. Hope for a limited game if there are rain issues for USA vs Ireland match.
Does USA make next world cup by virtue of being at super 8s? Thought it was based on rankings
Looks like sam_ahm is right. He’s been following this closer than I have. Looks like hosts + Super 8 teams qualify automatically. That is 8-10 slots. That means 2-4 slots are based on the next highest ranked sides.

At the moment India and SL qualify as hosts. SA qualify as the only confirmed Super 8 side, atm.

The rest of the Super 8s will probably still see some shuffling but it’s possible that BAN, AFG, AUS, WI, USA, and SCO make the rest.

If so, 9 teams qualify automatically as hosts + Super 8s, leaving 3 slots remaining from the rankings table. NZ, ENG, PAK would take those to make the top 12. Ireland and Zimbabwe would come next I believe but that means they have to go through regionals.
Ya, that's spot on.

I think England would still make the Super 8s they do not have weather concerns and I think they will hammer Oman and Namibia.

It is very unlikely that the weather in Florida will improve, looks like it is very bad. USA deserve every bit if it though and both Pakistan and Zimbabwe deserve to suffer because they have simply been pathetic.

He doesn't score or take wickets anymore. About time.

Meanwhile Liton and Shanto are like twin Marumanis now. Single digit scorers who on a good day might get to 15.

Slightly good news for zimbabwe that bangladesh beat Netherlands.
However with USA match maybe being abandoned against Ireland we may already be two feet in the 2025 qualifiers next year

Just how good has Mustafizur been lately!? He had been unplayable at the death. I rate Taskin as the best Bangladesh bowler, but the Fizz seems to have got his rhythm back.

England probably odds on favorites to qualify now, knocking Scotland out.

Pity about the potential USA match being washed out. Results have gone pretty much in zimbabwe favour barring the USA surprise package.
Maybe a new zimbabwe side of Campbell and bennet may fare better in qualifiers. Augument them with raza and some newer players and I would be quietly confident.

Not that we should ever have been in that position with a sound administration but we are where we are.
