Let's see him against a third string India side. Cant wait.
First thing it will show is how corrupt our system is.

To be honest I would take him. That is just my personal view though, purely because I want Zimbabwe to do well and I think he will strengthen the side.
He probably will strengthen the side. But then again there are literally of hundreds of cricketers around the world who would improve the side and would love an international career, but probably lack one of either;
a) the temerity to pop up in a random third world country seemingly plucked out of a hat and claim to be a patriot
b) the ability to spend many many many many tens of thousands of dollars paying off the corrupt passport office of said country

Good luck to him, I hope he does well.

Got to in some ways admire the sheer audacity of it and hope it works out for him.

If it works out then it opens the door for this to happen a lot more in the future. There will be some other wealthy kids with pushy parents with deep pockets round the world who want to succeed at all costs. There will be plenty in South Africa, although they might be the wrong colour for ZC, and probably other very rich Asian kids around the world.

It's actually a dream scenario for ZC isn't it. They won't need to invest in any of that grassroots stuff, or schools cricket, or even domestic cricket or coaches. Just have an open door to anyone with a bit of cash and a decent record who wants to play.

The board can spend even more of their $17m ICC allocation on new vanity stadiums and expensive dinners and cars then.

The telling will be if Singo franchises his pole dancing clubs to Bulagweru and Batonka stadiums.
Let's see if the impala can survive off used condoms in the Park.
It's not a bad way to go- being on the vinegar strokes in The Park with a Singo Dancer and a lion decides you're an hors d'oeuvre.

I think this will go down like a cup of cold sick with a few guys in that change room.

Good luck to Salmon dealing with that straight off the bat on day 1.

Considering he got a record breaking triple ton in the professional Logan cup, I’d have expected him to boss it, but he hasn’t. I’ll generously say his performances have been mixed. I haven’t checked up on every game but the ones I have, there’s been no blistering ton or anything.
Boozer's league. It's probably practice to him.

He has scored the runs when it matters. He absolutely walks into the Zim team and really, he's not keeping anyone deserving out. The change room should be welcoming him with open arms.

He bats in the middle order so he probably will be keeping someone out. Everyone is clamouring for Bennett and Campbell to get a long run. And no doubt the usual forum folk will be desperate for Myers to be parachuted straight into the team. And anyone else under the age of 30 who scores more than 20 runs in the warm-up matches will be the touted as the second-coming and must be in the team at all costs.

The opening in the team is at the top of the order, opening. If we've really got to play him then stick him there, see if he swims.

I'm not sure what to feel. The bloke is having a go and he did make a triple hundred. Many of us want to see diaspora players come in, some of whom are more English or Australian than Zimbabwean. We've got Aussies playing for Italy.

Maybe his love for Zim will grow even though this seems a sketchily arranged marriage
