Nyauchi finally gets the ball but gets taken off after 1 over. Makes no sense to me.

Damn what a fuckin game. Happy for the Irish, boys that don’t even play First Class cricket now having won two Tests on the trot.

This match highlights how ZIM and IRE and Afghanistan need to play 4-5 Tests a year and maybe time to think about bringing back the Test Challenge for addition to the WTC. Or have a clear cut criteria of achievement for promotion eg a win % of 65 or more over 4 years or 10 consecutive Tests (whichever occurs first) gets you automatically added as a 10th team to the WTC.

The three teams really should do a Test triangular on a rotational basis (Zim, Ireland, Afg take turns hosting).

Alright guys, I'm giving up as a Zimbabwe cricket fan. Will continue to watch their games as a neutral.

Even at 35-5 we were still a bit on the back foot defending such a low total.
Some B grade cricket from both sides, but some great stuff as well. An exciting game.

A one off test is lame. Now we've got England sponsoring us for that tour. We'd have some spare cash if we weren't building the Batonka Stadium, a massive retirement package for a couple of folk.
Will there be an 8 lane highway going into it, cut thru another section of a World Heritage site? That Blue Smurf with the beard and his balls hanging out can be the lead show at the opening ceremony, he can do a number with Singo's Pole dancers.

People might not like the idea but 2 four day tests would work perfectly well with these 2 teams. Chances of a 5 day affair were always slim.

No way. 4 dayers are first class stuff. 5 days, regardless of this match being barely 2.5 full days makes this a proper Test. If this was played on a flatbed in Bulawayo it would likely have reached Day 5.

I disagree (and don't give up). I remain a strong Zimbabwe supporter.

Incredible for Belfast, today the sun was out so there was not enough swing. These are Test Matches: eevery day and session are different.

The regret is the same I had before this match: it's a pity to cross half the globe to play an only Test.
I seldom participate to squad line-up discussions: to me what matters is that Zimbabwe may play (many) more internationals, Test and T20.
Make them play more often and results will come back.

You need 5 days in that part of the world though to account for the likely rain.
