Marumani has a really bad glitch trying to pick up pull behind square. Clears waay too much to off. It's his go to shot when he's under pressure. Jeez a good coach would make him work on easier higher percentage options. Still have that shot in his locker, but wait for a ball that's sitting up a bit and on middle and leg sort of line, not trying to fetch one outside off because he's predetermined it. That's just coaching and repetition to fix that, yet it's not happening?

Jury is not quite in for me yet with Dion. Rising star is used waaay too loosely.
He's making runs and looks good. I really didn't like the way he played those T20's. Would have gotten more points if he'd gone out earlier playing shots.
But of course he's done enuf that we'll see plenty more of him. Just watched that highlights package on NV Play against Glamorgan. Watch those 6's!! He's got them in his locker. He can play! Plenty to work with.
I think what excites people about Dion is that he has only been a professional cricket player for maybe 4 months. The right coaching and the ability to wake up and only think about cricket should see him improving significantly over the next year or 2.

That’s what’s frustrating about some of these guys. All you do is wake up and play cricket. Basically every day. How do you then justify brain fades like Madande against Ireland when it’s literally his job not to make those kind of mental mistakes?

The first thing we can change is professionalism. Not a hard thing to change. Brain fades and things like dropped catches should be unacceptable. They happen yes but they shouldn’t be a common occurrence. You had our 90s cricketers not earning nearly as much as these guys but they took pride in playing the game when we got full member status.

If you think Madande hits balls every day you're dreaming bud.
He's a Chosen One. Maybe 3 days a week tops.

I don't even know if he's on a contract, I suspect he is.
I don't think Marumani is, despite numerous appearances for Zim.

If these guys don't want to pound balls I'd pick the guys that do. There's only a couple of them

Or I'd write it into their contract- hit 1500 balls a week minimum or cheers.
We have to find the guys that are grimly determined to turn this circus around. Men with gonads and testosterone basically. Guys who want to win.

Makoni still there. May br a little becalmed by collapse going on around him.

Madhevre looks awful. Myers out for a rare low score

Wes should be nowhere near the Zim side at the moment, his defensive technique looks shot. Kaitano, Frost, Naqvi, Welch and Bawa all have far better techniques.
