If you’re having to postpone the whole league because 15 guys are on international duty then it’s not viable at all. Them being away gives the younger guys in the squads an opportunity to step up that they wouldn’t otherwise get.
I’m not mad keen on sports but English football is the only other example I can think of where there’s a domestic break for international fixtures and that’s understandable being such a multinational league.
Zim Afro T10
Re: Zim Afro T10
Is this happening? Honestly a waste of a tournament really and it looks very much vulnerable to fixing. Why have the Qalandars given up on this thing?
Anyways, keeping a bit busy guys, but I'll be around ... Bloody disgusting that it's been ages since Zimbabwe have played an international.

I think they were involved in some alleged or proven match fixing, not here but elsewhere?sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:27 pmIs this happening? Honestly a waste of a tournament really and it looks very much vulnerable to fixing. Why have the Qalandars given up on this thing?

Which is fine, in that case stick with 5 franchises.Pat_Bee wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:01 pmIf you’re having to postpone the whole league because 15 guys are on international duty then it’s not viable at all. 6 franchises plus all the best players being unavailable for 80% of the season like last year would be way too weak.

They stole all the prize money and still owe some various monies to people. The players yes but especially the local liaisons, kit men, net bowlers etc. They never got a dimesam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 5:27 pmIs this happening? Additionally the PCB seem to have a particular issue with the T10 company - they’ve refused NOC’s to all their players.
This thing had promise but the quite substantial local whispers of match fixing last year that I’ve heard, coupled with the abomination of a draft this season mean I have almost no interest this year.

Don't forget these guys had or have a hand in the mega/ultra city or whatever it's called.
Tight with Raza, hence Faraz getting picked.
Those guys were given a list of guys to pick.
At some point he's got to start wondering what team he could actually make on merit.

Romario Roach and Michael Frost are also now no longer part of the competition apparently.
Sounds like ZC had a word with the organisers.

Dion Ebrahim and Stuart Matsikenyeri are now head coaches of two of the sides. Some of the international coaches pulled out?
As have some of the overseas players.
