I still think Ervine & Williams retire after the England Test, but we shall see.

I'd still pick them both in both longer formats for now regardless.

Obviously Curran won't be in the Pakistan squads. Another good couple of weeks and he has a small outside chance of one of the Afghanistan squads perhaps.

Talk of Matt Campbell is extremely premature. Matt Welch has a List A highest score of 52, so Pakistan series very very unlikely also. His best bet is a good two rounds of Logan Cup opening and then an outside shot at the Test squad for Afghanistan.

As usual people will be disappointed and the squads will consist of the likes of Faraz, Madhevere, Wellington, Madande, Musekiwa, Gwandu etc. I don't think we'll see much change.
Curran can't be picked after one white ball half century, needs a good season and then maybe the Ireland tour. Solmon Mire is the one I am more interested in, he must have had some encouragement from the selectors to come back and have a crack.

From what David Mutendera said, Campbell is likely to get a go in ODIs. Burl left the qualifier in a sling and so he may be a doubt or even his place in debate if he is fit, at least in the ODIs.

Hope that Muvuta gets the whole Pakistan series, only ever gets the odd game here and there.
Best zimbabwe test squad

Ben Curran
Kaitano
Craig
Sean W
Myers
Nick Welch or Raza if available
Wk Gumbie or Marunami
Mavuta
Evans
Ngarava
Blessing

My reasoning
Bennet , Wesley should concentrate on limited overs
Madande wk cost us the Ireland series with extras..50 runs on evtras..
Musekiwa is still raw..
Kaitano and Ben have formed a pretty good combination playing for Rhinos..

A lot of the guys mentioned probably need at least half a season of excellence to get selected. They will also have to dominate when the national team is playing. I'm really hoped Ng they bring back those fast bowlers from Pakistan.

I doubt Sean and Craig will continue up to 2027. I want it to happen but I suspect after the England test they are done. There are a lot of names who will be pushing for spots in the team by the end of the season as well. That's my prediction. They do however deserve to to play all the ODIs until they retire

Eventually some of the younger guys will get it right. Our ODI options are also much better than T20.

The way Pakistan are playing, I've seen a couple of games against Australia and some part of their series against England, it is going to be a tough series for Zimbabwe. Pak seem to have turned things around a bit here, they are looking a much better side.

Zimbabwe have their work cut out, need to be at absolute best.

They're smashing Australia today, it's been a rout.

Entire Series they have been impressive, even the first game which they narrowly lost.
