Williams in at four so those squad lists are a load of tosh

The guy who potentially will cause confusion is Kamunhukamwe. Very capable of a big score, but then will struggle against international bowling.

Here it comes!

Reminds me how Waller or Maruma would always make a big score in a warm up game

But an overall List A average of 34, at a SR of 105. Which are solid numbers, that not many alternatives can better. And a swift 80 today.

Definitely not an unreasonable pick. You may or may not prefer other players, but you can't categorically say he doesn't deserve to be there.

It's not quite the point. Say he top scores in both games, does he make the national side?
He's hit or miss in domestic cricket (check at his scores) and he's mostly miss in international cricket.
He's a see ball hit ball player and that's fine, he comes off occasionally and the team usually wins and its damned good to watch. If he could carry that into international I'd have no objection. Give him these 3 series coming up and if he doesn't come off let's not revisit him for international cricket again.

If he changed his game and became a lot more consistent and technically better then let's have another look. But he backs the way he plays, which is ok. Personally I think it's a bit simplistic. In a really tough domestic environment he wouldn't have survived this long, he'd have had to have found a way of being more consistent a long time ago.

By selecting him ZC would essentially be saying- this series we back you to pinch hit against a high quality international bowling attack. I'm saying give him 3 series. If he fails let's not revisit him again in a year's time after he's scored a double hundred against Tuskers. You don't suddenly become capable of playing international cricket. This musical chairs bullshit is setting us back decades.
