It's naive to complain about not being paid?

Well, clever Taibu waited until he was named in the squad of 13. So now we know that when Chakabva keeps wicket and that Taibu's healed hand is now suddenly too sore again .... We support the guys. They are playing a TEST match without a contract to secure their participation. Unbelievable. ZC should be ASHAMED!

What's happening with Greg Strydom nowadays Sloandog?

With the foreigners around, he didn't feature much last season. On his day that guy can take apart the opposition bowlers of any team. Far more destructive than Bligz and Elton I think. Never did grab the limited opportunities he was given though. Anyway, he's still young enough so we might yet well seem him turn out of us in T20 colours.

He told me he's retired from the first class matches, and the 50 over competition, but is looking for a T20 contract with the Tuskers this domestic season, he never told me why mate

Wow just saw yesterdays episode of Inside Edge with AC and Pommie and AC just made it how unchuffed he was about Taibus timing and lack of consultation with him. He also said he is meeting Taibu today to iron the mess out, but he assured that, bar inteference from Bob himself, Taibu is running on on Thursday. The story seems to have found its way onto the backpages of local papers, funny considering it was broken by a Cricinfo journo!

As much as peeps might like it, its the BEST time for them to raise these issues cos any other time they would not be given the time of day. AC wanted to be consulted in what capacity? Maybe Tibba averted a bigger disaster, what if the players just didnt walk out onto the pitch then what would we all say. Whay does it have to come to this in the foirst place. Dont tell me AC didnt know about this. Good for Taibu and it will be Good for the players and Cricket!

So we have the cash to employ Gillespe, Donald, Lara- these faulk you cant hire for a mere $10k a month. We fail to pay the very people who are at the core of Zim cricket. I think its not just the love of the game/country thats making our players continue to play even in this mess. With the IPL and a lot of other tourneys around. International cricket has become a platform to showcase talent. As long as u're playing for yo country regulary you are marketable.

I'm sorry to put it across this way, but the majority of the players in the setup now are black. Undervalued and taken advantage of. That's probably because they know they have nowhere else to go. No ties with family abroad or families that are well off. Most of the white players, even the fringe players make their way to club and eventually 2nd county cricket in Eng, NZ. Why do you think it's only Williams, Vermeulen etc who've made some noises or taken certain steps. Black players are just silent(I'm sure you all remember what a failure that 'Final Push' was). We all know Taibu's been this vocal from long back so we don't count him. That of course does not ignore the fact that the likes of Ballance&Sean are arguably superior and hence deserving better pay, but things would be lot different if the majority was white. What makes this even more sad is that black administrators are the one 'oppressing' the majority of thier kin, along with the few white players involved.
